There was an awesome idea about creating a section related to server develpment and etc.

Actually the problem is not a guide. People just refuse to read.

You can't imagine how many times people come to me asking this:

"I want to update my server and I run database_installer as you guided me and I stuck here:

Would you like to do full install (f), update (u) or cancel (c): ..."

Now the obvious is to hit "u" and enter, but this is not so obvious as it looks as most people never used command line, not even a norton commander. So, no matter how much detailed guide you make, there is no way to cover some things that have not really to do with development or administration, but with computer skills and common logic.

Another misunderstanding is that people download and compile a pack, then try to run it without installing database. This usually ends like "l2j is bugged, the l2jfree preconfigured pack i downloaded from crapzone didn't need database at all".

I won't try to restore the reputation of l2j, no need as it is so bad that whatever I do will remain the same! But I will refer only to l2j as development and administration because it is legal emulator. L2Off development and client modifications are copyright and EULA violation.

1. This forum needs such a folder.
2. There will be useful information in that folder's content.
3. (at least for me) I will learn A LOT and I'm sure many regular members will learn a lot about l2j if such a folder will be created. For example Godsend, I don't think he knows any of that, but he would learn a lot from it...

So I'm giving it a double thumbs up.
