Custom Features:

Spawn Protection: 30 Seconds or till you move.

Low Level PK Protection: You can't PK a character 20 levels lower than you. This protection doesn't apply if low level character is in High Level area.

Offline Trade System: Set a Private Creation/ Buy/ Sell Shop, Exit game and your character will remain online till server restart or till you relog! You don't need to run a Client for that.

No Store Zones: On Giran, special defined areas where you can't place Shops (like in pathways) so you experience less client lag.

No Stores around NPC: You can't place a private shop around NPC in 250 radius in any Town.

Alt+Shift: On Mob shows Drop/ Spoil Stats.

Gameplay Improvements:

Seal Stone Contribution: Maximum per player during festival is 10kk

Auto Loot: Drops don't drop in the ground, go directly to your inventory.

Merchant and Blacksmith of Mammon: Spawn auto announcement.

Shout/ Trade Anti-Spam: You can use shout/ trade channel only once per 5.

Olympiad System: Your or your opponents weapon and armor enchant bonus is not applied on Olympiad matches.

Events:

Wedding System: Marry and meet your mate with 25kk Adena.

TvT Event: At 3:00 and 18:00 UTC, Level 67-85, Rewards: Adena and Elixirs.

Just learn how to write.

Java can hold many players if you know how. Just most Admin have no clue. On RaidFight I had major lags and i fixed them just by tuning garbage collection and heap sizes and with a Quad Core @ 2.13Ghz, 4Gb RAM 667Mhz and simple SATA drives I hold almost 1000 online without lags. I am pretty sure I can hold even more but I didn't had the chance to as I don't have more players than that. When they come we will find out. I have seen servers, L2J clean (I don't use L2J but a far improved private l2j fork, which has many performance improvements) that on same hardware as mine had 1700 online.

As I said my server lagged on 500 online and I fixed it and now holds nearly 1000. I have seen servers with far better hardware lag at 500 online.

But I was tuning MySQL for 2-3 months and every week I tune it again as database becomes bigger and players more. Most Admins use the default settings or just rely on some configuration they copy pasted from some website. Also I use MyISAM engine when most l2j servers use InnoDB. Tunning Heap Sizes in JVM and Garbage Collection behaviour is more painful, we never stop tune it and actually we tune it from scratch every 15 days.

Generally I don't mean that 1000 I got is something amazing, but it is very good for the hardware I got. What I mean to say is that, Programming Language is just a taboo that Lineage 2 players never get over it because its the best and only excuse they got. When admins suck, bug/lag appears it is because its java server. And may be true as L2J is easier and free to setup (good L2Off files cost some thousands of Euro and need better experience uppon system administration.

hmm maybe old core was c++:P idk but my infos about ct2.3 are about C# idk maybe i'm wrong but ...C# is more easly to code like c++ (I love original C that is mother and father of programming and nothing else will be better or faster:P) because have a lot of functions incorporate like java:D
