DE can never compensate for their low HP they are not made for 1 vs 1 battles. In seiges and mass battels they are prety usefull but 1 on 1 is not their field. BTW i love orcs not elves but their is no orc assassin so ..
In l2 every class has his ups and downs. The new skill of PRs (dead eye) is not made for PVP for instance, u make serious DMG on a crit but tha atack speed is just horrible. The SR will use 10 skills wile u shoot 1 arrow. Ppl use to like DE cause of the crit power for the assassins. some even think the look good, i mean evil
About AW and dagger skills, i dont think crit power affects the skill dmg at all as crit chance does not affect land rate . Skills have power the skill dmg depends on skill power.The p.atack difference is not that importanta and lets think about what crit power is - some UP in p.atack. So at the end when u choose dagger u choose what - smth with decent HP, High DEX, focus death , high m.def. Skills that increase crit dmg are made for Xp-ing mainly couse they they dont apply in skill dmg. For instance daggers with SA:crit dmg are made for XP not PVP. AS:haste is made for PVP - increase in a.speed , shorter reuse delay. Thats why u lower STR and get + DEX to make the reuse delay shorter , its not for the skills to be more succesfull

My field is daggers, so i can argue you.
Dark elves are for pvp and they rely on high dps. Aw for example has a fair mdef, evasion makes him good against archers, and their hp can be build by raising con to 37. Their hp isn't THAT low a/w.
Now, you said that daggers go + dex for attack speed and directly proportional for lower reuse delay. I must tell you, i don't give a crap about the attack speed that the dex gives, and the reuse difference is too low to observe, trust me. +dex means more speed for me and again, speed and damage is EVERYTHING for me.
Crit damage is for farming? Please... Critical damage SA applies to the dagger patk if i am not mistaking. You realise that 200 patk (in the char stats) is useless during a critical. The critical power is important also, because on lvl 6 it's about +300 patk per crit. This is truly for the patk of the char stat. But it is a diff.

Their damage is too high because they have debuffs to decrease pdef... They are built for dps, as i said.

It's a big difference between AW and PW, wich is dmg on blows and .. and it's a huge one.
AW it's a true killer , he's made for pwning some1,far better than PW or TH.

Actualy i dont know why do u think that the dmg output of AW is bigger than that of PW since crit . power buffs/selfbuffs weapons SA does not apply when it comes for blows, same as the crit chance doesn`t make the blows more succesfull.
You have a skill this skill has power this is the main thing ppl made the crit enhansment for PVE cause daggers cant always use skills.NCsoft gave them pasives to increase the dmg output in normal atacks, thats all. True most of the private servers apply crit power buffs to skills - but they are not supose to , it goes only for normal atacks

Well , than u should try them, and not to forget that AW have hex too and if it's succesfull will decrease 23% of p def on u're opponent.

Hawkeye? Necro!? Sorceror?
Hawkeye's only chance is that hamstring shot to land. Necromancer's only chance is to land either anchor or curse of doom.
Sorceror lifts buffs, but buffs aren't that important on a dagger. Of course if you take the hp and critical power buffs, you may stand a chance.
