seriosly, i miss them... i miss diablo2, i miss sacred, titan quest, nwn, dangeon siege, gothic... AND the one i missed the most is REVENANT... i don't know how many of u played it, but it was so great, i played it in 2000 i think, and it's by far one of the best games i ever played: pretty good storyline, skills, equip, lvling... it was fun!!!
i donno what this modern day obssesion with GRAPHIX is all about!!! yeah, they emprove the game but not the game play!!! seriosly, me and 2 other friends ( we all are at the faculty of informatics) are trying to come up with our own rpg, something nice, clever, and FUN!!!... we already made the skills, classes, some equip concept of the game and it sound so super, for single game play and for multiplayer to, without beeing boring .and imbalanced... i think if we would be able to pull this stunt up it will be big... i played a series of online RPGs and i'm not impressed at all!!! even lineage and wow are pretty boring and they lack a certain color...

so seriosly, haven't u ever done that? think that u would be able to come with a better game, if u got the chance to do it?

also titan quest, sacred....none of 'em is that old, but it has that retro charm, i'm playing retro games in like 50% too, so I feel the same way, though I wish back the old times when NES and SNES were the best things in video-game history

and some games don't go for pure graphics, look at the Wii or Serious Sam 2, they have the same old-style gameplay

i play'ed all the game except REVENANT .. i remeber watching my brother playing it tho.. i was too damn little ... but i can remeber it ... and the feeling when he battle'ed giant spiders at the begining of the game ... mabye i should try to play it now ...

bah on the serious sam 2 there is too much easy
the second encounter is the real oldschool
i remember a level when i finished all ammo and i was shoting mobs for ~3+ hours with my gun and saw xD

still my favorite shooter ( and maybe the best of old time shooters) is Unreal Tournament Game of The Year Edition 2000 ( i had one of the original CDs payed a shitload of money for it then). Especially in multiplayer u felt it real good. Not just the Team deathmatches, but there was capture the flag, assault, domination were teamplay was everytihng. FUUUUCK I really miss it. i finnished it for 100 times... even now i play it when i get bored of everything else.

Olso i play Total Overdose, u can call it a max payne and a GTA rip-off, the graphix or not that super, but once u do a mission and u use the combo rising... It's like a good shot of adrenaline!!! man, that's one of the only games that really cheers me up when i'm depressed
