I read some of the threads here about raid boss... but from what I read, the set-up is usually a strong party and its mostly focus on high level raid boss hunting.

We are planning to do some boss hunt to get some items to upgrade the clan skills so the best would be hunting the lower ones like Lvl 40s. Our academy is quite active. We have around 10-12 players around 35-40 and a handful of regulars who just made their subclass.

Please correct me. The level that can still hit a RB is 9 lvl above? Or was it 8 lvls only? Ex. RB=lvl 43 so can a lvl 52 player still hit it?

If we are going to hunt a RB that is lvl 45 and below, would a composition of 2 party be sufficient? We have tankers, damagers, nukers, healers evenly distributed on 2 party. Of course majority are still low levels but we also have some prophet, bishop and buffers like WC that can assist with buff and healing on the party.

Also, if there are any techniques or tips (beside the all-out attack option) that could help would be greatly be appreciated.

Thanks.

ok if your going to do low lvl rbs you need to have high lvl support
as in doomcryer swm sd etc
get them to buff your party then move them outside thr rbs range so they dont get silence para or could affect rb drop
also you need to be either higher or lower then the rbs lvl with 3 LVLS so that you can have higher chances of getting clan skills items

well strategys there arent many
tank aggro mages nuke rb dies

I did a lot of lil bosses, you can even solo lvl 20-25.
Til 50, we had enough buffs from a lvl 58wc. 1sk, 1 he, 1th and we were fine. I assume that with a dancer, 3-4dds and a 70+wc/pp will be perfectly enough til 60. Ofc at least low B you might need there.

Or you can try out sukkerel's idea, go with nukers, but then you need SE and EE in your level, rather than high lvl pps and wcs.

Thanks for the response.

We are playing on official server with Gracia 2.2 something

On the players on the academy, we have a some new pala and dwarves who just finished their 2nd job so they will be our tankers. Couple of Palus knight going Shillen Knight status, Dark wizards (lvl 30+ though), Shillen Oracle, couple of clerics to name a few from the academy.

We still don't have a lot of high level support but we have couple of Bishops, Prophets, Warcryers and Overlords. We have Bladedancer at Swordsinger too. Don't think Summoners can help in this one right?

Our clan is peaceful so we don't have any worries on some other clan messing an RB.

Our target is bosses are lvl 40-50 to get some Destruction Tombstone so that we can get some clan skills for our clan.

imo if u cant get dedi pt(i mean raiding pt of mages or destroes) u should at least have high lvl pp
u said u have dwarfs and they will participate right?so its even harder-->dorfs are shity dmg dealers

also be carefull with the tank and the main healer
if the tank and the healer are kinda new to those things aim rbs that have no raid fighters
guardless bosses have higher stats but u can be sure that the tank wont leave the rfs come and eat ur mages
also if u gona use nukers setup dont forget to remind the tank to run around and make the rb run around too+never bring the rb close to the mages

the goal is to have top C eq

i've done some low level raidboss hunting my self.. i'm with the SEA official server blackbird:gracia2 i have the best line up for low level bosses.. make 1 sk 1 sws 1bd 1 destro for frenzy 1 bishop.. make it all lvl 52. and max all skill then level them down to 42.. retail servers retain skills up to 10 lvl downs.. 5 char w/ advance skills = easy boss hunt w/ few characters.. just mail me if you are interested this idea.. this is tried and tested
