how hosts file should original look like? i need this because i have screwed him with lots of servers trying

i have'nt written that i want it clean, i have written that i want to see how original looks alike. these two phrases have a different meanings.

u gotta ask some1 that doesnt play l2 cuz we all have played privates that require host changes

Guys... Google it before talking.

You don't have a hosts file? (removed by bake ice patcher probably?)
GOOD!

Create a notepad file. Write the IP of the server you wish to connect to. Save. Rename the file to "hosts" WITHOUT an extention. Aka remove the .txt extension.
There is your hosts file.



Look... # probably means extra information for the user. That also means it won't be read nor processed. So go ahead and remove all that crap. You can remove localhost while you're at it. It won't help you. My hosts file is exactly like this:

127.0.0.1 l2authd.lineage2.com

I use that to connect to my own servers. Localhost is the default address with which the computer uses to connect to its own server.
You can add any other stuff to your hosts file, hell, even use it as a memo if you wish. As long as the line with the server's IP is written correctly you have nothing to worry about the rest.
