Any tips for a Blade Dancer on single and party pvp? I didn't really make this char for pvp so dont go telling me I should've chosen SK or something. I do enjoy pvping in any game I play, so Ill be doing that every once in a while once I reach lvl 58 (for dance of fury?)...

My planned setup is Heavy Doom Set, +4 Str -4 Con tat & +4 Tsurugi*SLS for B-grade. Havent made much thought on A-grade since The server im playing on is fairly "young" (L2SEA). Btw it's Interlude.

What do you guys think? Any info on the land rate of Medusa and Demonic Blade Dance? Are they any good in PVP? What about Poison Blade Dance? Any thoughts?

BD is not a pvp character.if you must fight, however, get a bow.and use whatever you want: hex, power break, slow,ud etc

Get a nice heavy maj set,a nice bow,and start assist/killing, the only thing to remember is that you must always stick close to your group and avoid heavy crossfire of mages, also keep an eye on daggers they can make serious havoc on the field.

For dyes personally i would go for +5 str -5con and +4wit -4int anyway whatever you increase or decrease your Con will always suck :P

Also a smart thing to do is the *kamikaze* thing with the dance of medusa, you simply run againt the enemies, get between them and use it and then UD, i have seen it many times in 9vs9 and it really works taking out at least 2 guys at a time the best was when the bishop and the overlord of the enemy party got paralyzed...we owned them xD

reading your posts in this thread i can come to conclusion that for u a pvp char is some kind of DD(nuker, archer). understand that the l2 is not all about DD ganking(since u play on <normal priv server>). there are characters like BD witch role in pvp is diferrent. for example a EE can kill noone in a gruop pvp, but that doesnt mean he isnt a pvp char lol. BD is a support buffer and he is welcome in any pvp party. Every char is a pvp char(exept dwarfs).

Believe me when i say dwarfs can make serious damage in pvp, they stun then have tons of HP/CP and the worst.........they run fast

p.s: i hate dwarfs T_T

@fuegodebola first of al this ain`t the section for advertising other servers. Next time read the rules more carefuly.

First of all i wasnt advertising anything. I just mentioned where I was playing to let those that will reply know that I am playing on a commercial/official or whatever you guys might call it server. I also said that it was "young" to let those that will reply know that S and A grade equips are not yet accessible. I havent seen anybody wearing A grade on the server. Next time please read the posts more carefully.

Anyways, thank you for all the tips. I still have questions though:
1) Is the land rate of Demonic Blade Dance any good?
2) Is the land rate of Dance of Medusa any good?
3) What is the difference between stun and paralyze?
4) Is Poison Blade Dance any good?

1)rather high
2)rather high
3)stun-chance of interruption by hitting stuned person. lasts 9 sec(not interupted). land rate influenced by targets con.
paralyze-cannot be interupted. lasts 30 sec. land rate influenced by your m atk/targets m def
4)it is a waste of mp

Stuns
Skill Rate Stat Magic?
Armor Crush 0.40 CON N
Bluff 0.40 CON N
Cursed Strike 0.50 CON N
Hammer Crush 0.50 CON N
Punch of Doom 0.80 CON N
Shield Bash 0.80 CON N
Shield Stun 0.80 CON N
Shock Blast 0.40 CON N
Soul Breaker 0.50 CON N
Spark Cubic 0.80 CON Y
Stun Attack 0.50 CON N
Stun Shot 0.50 CON N
Stunning Fist 0.50 CON N
Thunder Storm 0.50 CON N
Wild Stun 0.15 CON N

Stun - (Base Land Rate/CON Modifier*Resistance)*(Learn Level/Target Level)

Paralyze (Base Land Rate/Men Modifier*Resistance)*(Learn Level/Target Level)*(M.Atk./M.Def.)

Thank you, that was quite informative. Dance of Medusa sounds really powerful.

i didn't say BD wasn't a useful character in pvp.as a matter of fact it's quite important.however when it comes to dealing damage,he's not as good as the "gankers".your role is to dance and hex.

Sometimes also your freezing strike can help much :). But your role in pvp is to live through all of it, and dance, and hex, and pb, and dance. I like pvp with BD though :)
