Riposte stance deflects debuffs like melee skill stuns. My question now is does it reflect debuffs like SA Crit stun? Eg Tyrant in zealot + bison + Crit stun weapon

No, special abilities are not reflected.

That's why tyrant in bison + zealot + crt stun fists is unstoppable.

Yes, GK with crit stun has the edge over duelist... and actually pawns. I dont know if that is the case for every bison + zealot + crit stun case... However, with zealot in cool down... pretty much fuxored.. I like GK over duel cuz he has totems, break duress AND MEDITATION!!

Remember: if Duel hits barrier, GK has it too.. and its very hard to kite a tyrant... he has rabbid which gives speed for a longer time than the duelist has sonic move.... the reduction in patk is not important! the duelist is slow! You can kite a destroyer but never heard that a duelist can kite a GK...

But what worries me is that riposte stance has reflect damage of attacks, not skills though.. but the duelist has more atk dmg for the melee skills thatn the GK... so a TT could actually bite his teeth out on a duelist with riposte stance cuz he relies more on physical atk dmg in zealot.. i need to test that on some shitty HR server :P

not rly. Tyrant relies more on meele hits than duelist. He mostly relies on crits and how good u can play with totems. Use puma for skill spam or bear/hawk to hit. U will rely on crits too, and if u get 60% use bison to make imba crits, or u can preffer to kite with DC light, haste fists and wolf totem (YES wolf, u wont do a lot of damage with rabbit). Or just grab IC and health fists and ogre totem and riposte and make him burn his mana. Well, there are many opinions about using riposte or not. I preffer not to, but others can have their own strategies which use it.

well unless somebody can answer me my question about GK vs Duelist in riposte stance in low rate (either offical or preferably l2Dex - i trust dex the most).... Nevertheless, i have some results so far:

Server tested: L2Light

Dyes used:
Duelist -9Dex +5con +4STR
GK same dyes (i knwo GK relies on atk speed but i boosted HP to have more HP to activate bison and STR for physical skill crits)

By the way Riposte OWNS!!!! melee classes!!! omfg against other classes too.

Tried various equipment GK in IC hvy, drac light, Heath then Crit Stun, Haste, Focus, Duelist with Shield and Blunt, duelist in drac light....

Full Buffed (and i mean ALL buffs, COV, Fist of paagrio, all dances, all songs, queen, seraphim, pp, se, ee)
Melee:
Duelist(Riposte On) vs GK (Riposte On) -> Duelist wins
Duelist(Riposte On) vs GK (Riposte Off) -> Duelist
Duelist(Riposte Off) vs GK (Riposte Off) -> Duelist
Duelist(Riposte Off) vs GK (Riposte On) -> Duelist

Ranged (Duelist gets kited by GK)
Duelist(Riposte Off) vs GK (Riposte Off) -> Duelist

CH buffs (i realised i left this out, maybe there is a change in results, gonna test this one, i will also test GK vs Duelist both no dyes)

SelfBuffed:

Ranged (Duelist get kited by GK)
Duelist(Riposte Off) vs GK (Riposte Off) -> GK WINS!

Only way to win constantly agaist a duelist (both selfbuffed) is to kite him and NEVER GET CLOSE. I read it a couple times, too, and now i tested it...

I have to say, it is quite hard to play a GK.. you have to pay attention to your skills cooldown and then also pay attention to your totems.. (make sure fist fury is on at the beginnign of the match, make sure you have the right fucking! totem at teh beginning of them match! >< activate bison at 60% then zealot at 30% switch weapon to crit stun, VERIFY that you use crit stun weapon! and not health lols....) quite hard...
Also, when the hawk, bison or zealot are in cooldown this pretty mcuh sux for GK!!!!!!! :/ GK needs a lot of preparation and paying attention all the time, whereas teh duelist is alot easier to handle....

I want to hear some more opinions of other guys before I want to close this topic.

PS: I am looking for more people to help me test other characters, too. Anyone willing to share the experience please PM me or post here.

melle fight duelist wins ???
lol maybe if he uses skills and prolly not even then
in oly you can lose to a duelist but in full buffed pvp and with cp pots spamming your the king
also dont forget that you also have barrier which can be a win button sometimes
my advice agains duelist ??
IC set ( + 6 or not but the + 6 set is a lot better xD ) health fists
tactic : take his cp by range AND ONLY GET CLOSE WHEN HIS CP IS DOWN !!!
also if you see him switch to a blunt weapon turn ripo on and fortitude + warfrenzy ( better make a macro with them )
also use bison only after your at 50 % hp not at 60 % the attack speed from puma can be used for skills spaming
also try enchanting your stun it can be helpfull sometimes even if you can get stunned by it ( that the ripo of the glady )

Yes, if you have a look at the skill damage of TSS it has more power than hurricane, and not even that; duelist has TSS AND DSS. GK has only hurricane, punch of doom i would not even think about using it, and stun dont even think about using it cuz you are more likely to take stun if duelsit has riposte on.

The fact why GK wins range (selfbuffed) against duelist is that GK's range attack skill has MORE POWER than the duelist's.

Full buffed I guess the critical rate, power and the fact that you have to kite is what fucks the GK, while the duelist just spams his range skills with very cooldown rate, whereas the GK actually hast run a bit and then use your skills, where you loose valuable time to do damage. Full buffed every second counts even more than in slefbuffed state, cuz things go ALOT faster.

I can hear repeating myself in a previous post. Is it that only GK has barrier?!? I dont think so - Duelist has it too. And a smart duelist wont just look at your barrier.

By the way do you speak from experience? Have you played or tested TT or GK? If you dont believe me, you are more than welcome to help me in my tests.

Hey. Liquie is right, what's wrong with you guys? In melee, the duelist wins, remember that his melee skills are more powerful. To compensate, the gk has stronger ranged nukes.

When it comes to a pvp, the gk wins most times. The duelist ain't catching no gk, and in ranged pvp the tyrant clearly wins, unless he's unlucky. However, in 30% hp the tyrant doesn't always come melee. If the fight is equal, I wouldn't come.

1)im not an orc lover=> just basic knowledge about tyrant
2)tyrant may do his job in a full buffed pvp 2 if uses wolf/rabbit and nukes(worked on fury for me..forget that its a lol server)
3)icarus why would i go melle ?if i can kite even better?
4)melle means not only head vs head pure physical battle
melle also stands for range-40-80 as far as i know

Melee at 30% hp. Zealot + bison + crt stun fist. You think the duelist is gonna move anymore or cast something? :D
