Amd will be never better than Intel.
http://www.intel.com/products/processor ... _brief.pdf
And this is just one comparison.

Amd is above celeron, but below Intel:P

Well, I'm not rly going for always the new games/downloading 4gbs/day....retro games are awesome and for that amd is better, it has a better guarantee to stay alive than an Intel:P
But after I wasted a lot of time home in front of the computer, I say I can take care of my Intel:)

On the contrary... Intel are more fiable. When you'll see an amd overclocking on +70% with no problems on an average mobo, let me know.
Unfortunately for amd fans, intel hit the jackpot on both quality and performance.

And about breaking intels... Intel were always more fiable than amds. Intel was the first company to actually include high safety measures so that their cpus won't explode in extreme cases (this was what? 10+ years ago). Intels would just restart, while with the amds you would directly see "no signal input" on the monitor. They would just crack or fry.

[1M]: 02m 07s

I had all sorts of shits opened like msn and l2 and browser and win zip etc. Ill test without anything opened ^^

EDIT: a small decrease without anything opened
[1M]: 01m 56s

it seems that all those programs didnt affect it that much, maybe super PI takes so much effort that everything else just blocks

I had 17 seconds when i was in 2 gb ram and 2.8 ghz I THINK. I'll run a test now, i got home.

LE: i'm doing 17 seconds now too, so i was probably on 3.2 ghz back then. Amazing how over 2 gb of ram in windows xp doesn't influence almost at all...

The keyboard is an usb hub itself. I have one like yours. Let me fill the rest in...

Keyboard: Logitech G15 2005 edition http://www.hardware.no/tester/input/log ... l-stor.jpg
Mouse: Logitech MX 510 gaming grade http://static.howstuffworks.com/gif/pro ... large.jpeg
Sound: Logitech Z-5500 http://www.loa.com.vn/image/speaker/z5500/z5500.jpg
Display: Samsung SyncMaster 930BF http://katalog-monitorov.sk/clanky/sams ... -930bf.jpg

Photo of my desk. The illumination in my room is obscure, so i added a lamp light. That's why the picture isn't great.

Just conf bios. Mine's on 70 max, that's alrdy too much but I haven't got any serious problems yet.
But don't even go above 75, nothing actually lasts long at that.
