Hi guys, finally brought my paladin to 66. While lvling i met a guy (Gladiator) lvling at the same place with me and we know each other about 4days.

So one day he asked abt my class and i told him i am a paladin, he then ask me to try do a duel. When it start he uses his combo etc, while i spamming my shield turn and tribunal but none of my shield stun able to stun him at all in a number of 3 tries. It took abt 2sec for him to break my CP and he used a TSS i guess, instant KO for me. He told me he was lvl 70

Next duel was when i turn lvl 66, upgraded all my skills and i requested to duel again. This time i am 66 and he is 71. 3 rounds... 1st round 2 sec broke my CP and one skill KO me. I believe is TSS. 2nd and 3rd round was pretty much the same. But on the last round i made a check on his killing skill.... it did 2517dmg on me with my p.def 996. Through our all duels, i tried abt 14 shield stun, none stunned him.

His setup: BW set armour with SLS*SLS + 4

Now i am not trying to ask how a paladin going to win him or saying paladin is the best.

I am just wondering few things:
1) is it normal for his TSS to do 2517dmg on a pala?
2) Does the different of 5 - 6 lvl gaps made alot of different?
3) is there few important points i need to watch out when pvp as a pala?
4) lastly he told me no pala won him before and i wonder does pala realli shine at high end or not realli actually?

What server are you playing on? That damage to a paladin is highly unlikely. Maybe crit, but he can't crit so many times.

1: 2,5k on paladin is kinda a lot.
2: Imo not so bit difference.
3: Not much experience on paladin or tanks to help with that
4: Paladin and tanks generally aren't good in pvp cuz their damage can
be easily healed with cp pots and elixirs. But -endgame- tanks are really cool.
Still not as good as some other classes but they're formidable opponent.
Paladin with Angelic Icon tho is hard-ass to kill..

root him get near him and spam shield stun
when your hp is low hit AI and start pwning

ow and marios tanks rock in pvp and they can kill a lot of chars

And the paladin has no choice but to spam your own damage by cp pots.

Besides in an organised pvp, cp pots shouldn't be used. I mean, what's that... There was a kinda similar thing on some c4 servers in hunters village as a war zone. There used to be a hunter village buff, called power of nature, which would act like a very VERY strong hp pot. Pvp between daggers would even take 5 minutes... Pvp between tanks had no point.

It's the same? Lets say CH buffs. And same grades EQ.
Paladin will crit my mage for 400 - mas 500 dmg.
On same buffs i'll nuke him for 900. With surrender 1,2k aprox No?
CP macro will gimme 250 CP back. What is his chances?
It's not even close.

@Sekkurel: Tanks are good vs archers and daggers. But ALWAYS...
if the target has enough CP pots, u will have hard time killing it.
As a dagger/archer I never targeted tanks for instance. Even if they were the last alive. Waste of my shots
Target softer things, tank won't kill you as long as u spam ur CP good.

Hmm the 2.5k dmg was indeed had make me very sad as a tank. And the thing is I dun even need to root him coz he stay beside me throughout the duel. And yes i activated AI, but i had been killed instantly without having the chance to hit him once.

Well after i put that this post, i met him and ask him to duel again:P same thing 7sec and i am down. Immediately i ask him to party me awhile, he did............. to my surprise. He had sort of a full buff as a gladiator, he told me it was ch buff. Not sure the grade of each buff, but yes he have everything including vampric rage, inc health, might, shield etc....

So i guess that is the reason why i am down so fast lolz.... at least that is a consolation reason i could think of as i am only using self buff majestic,holy armour/weapon, iron will, deflect arrow where else the gladiator had all buff come from all buffer type o.O!

Nevertheless the motivation is back for me to hang on to pala:) thanks again everyone.

I said ORGANISED pvp, meaning a real pvp, not the pussyass pvp with cp pots that you practice. In a pvp, cp pots won't be used. While searching for a killing spree, ofc you'll use cp pots. And take it easy with dex, because you criticise but let me remind you: you have never actually played there. You haven't actually played a low rate, because in another topic you said you'd pk and then die at high lvl -> loss of xp which is a problem on low rates.

Funny thing is, max X rate server I ever played was x45.
I play low (typo) rates 3 years and you try to teach me shit lol.
And ofc, XP isnt an object. And you forget bishop can give u 80%+ back.
But you aren't too smart to think about it on your own.

Tanks are just TOO GREAT.Having deflect arrow makes them FUCK those archers.pala/DAs shield stun is a spammable stun skill with almost 80% chance.Their physical mirror is the key to kill anyone who tryies to alternate ur normal state.

AI is far too awesome.Its almost like frienzy.
Also SK is one of the most versatile characters and really hard to kill.
TK will just need about 2 hours to die.
DA will keep u agroed and his enchantable kiten will cut ur F@CKING balls off.
paladin will just keep u stuned.then hit u with all his might having 3 UDs makes u immortal.ANd when u reach 30% hp the fury of AI is unleashed and the game is over...

have u ever seen a ally battle/raid(expect fight with valaka) w/o a tank ?
I know the servers which u play at dont require a tank to kill raids as long as u can solo them...

TAnks are almost wanted in any party and are really tough to kill.

In pvp you don't use cp pots, because as god said, it's honor. It's a game, sure, so let's farm our asses out, then pk and drop all. Hah it's just a game right? Clueless...

And funny, most planned pvps ARE in the arena, so that means you lack the power of interpretation (aka the intelligence) to understand a post and corelate it to the game.

And each time you pk you'll get a bish to res you won't you? Ofc you will. But there is still a loss. And 5 deaths means 1 full death loss. You think you're gonna lose karma in 1 death? Do i have to remind you how much karma you get for killing a low level char?

I totally agree, on my AW i only use CP when i'm fighting 2 ppl, and on my SK i only use CP pots when it's 3vs1.
why not on 2v1 on my SK u say? Cuz SK totally rulez, losing a 1v1 is VERY rare when i'm playing SK, i usually win 2v1's and when i spam CP hell sometimes i even win 3v1's. There you have it, the power of a tank.
