I started to play as a Sword Singer on main class (6x Retail Like).
I'm lvl 40 right now. My gear is: Samurai Longsword +3 (Critical Damage, I used it on my kamael, converted); Composite Set w/o Helmet.
I have a Doom Light, that I want to trade for a BW Heavy, to use on B Grade. On A Grade I think I'll use MJ Heavy.

I want to know All Around tips, some PvP, some PvE, how to act in a party, I don't want Raid tips.
I heard that a Bow is good after Song of Hunter, a Two handed Sword with focus too. Also a Dagger and a Shield.
Can someone help me on this?

from 40 to 60 u can go well with dagger (I used guardian sword-2 hands for C grade and kris for B). After 61 I seriously recommend SWORD, dont use other but sword. U will rly need the masteries, and u can go to dooms (fields of massacre) with holy weapon and that toggle (cant remember name). Yes, hunter gives u rly good critical, but never use bow, except in pvp, u wont have MP (its the faith of any archer).
Always lvl up on undeads, and if u have bishop/PP/EE buff holy weapon for extra ubber damage. With CH buffs+toggle and 2 hand sword I was killing shackles at lvl 40, in 3-4 hits, with holy weapon u will be a killing machine.

Until 50 u can stay at DV entrance (avoid stuners). Then go cemetery, where u will find some nice mobs (easiest to kill and the best exp), they are on the lower part of cemetery (not near orcs, etc). U can stay there until 54-55, it should be fast. Then go fields of massacre, on the lower part u have grave priests and some other skeletons, they are easy prey for u. At lvl 60 start with the dooms. Then, after about 65 u should rely mostly in party, since u will start to lack dps, so u could try to find a party for cata or rift

For pvp...maj hvy, tallum hvy, maj light if u wanna use bow, maybe a more general set- dc light
And use either bow or sword, u can also use dagger if u have nice gank party. Haste, critical damage and focus are the most prefered


NOTE: I had my SwS on a x12 server, so maybe u will get bored of lvling in the same places, since ur server is half the XP, so maybe u can move on to other locations sooner (i.e. go to cemetery at 48 and to fields of massacre at 52-53)

I saw many retail pvps when heroes uses the Hero Pole.
Maybe use a Pole w/ Critical Stun sounds good? For PvE. I think you'll not throw yourself at the enemies lines with a simple Critical Stun weapon :p

yes, if u have a SE to party (not just dual boxed buffer), even with VR, since u dont have mastery, u cant mantain ur HP, so ull need heals. But its a good idea, just dont exagerate, take max 4 mobs, and if u go cata u should also get a BD. A good party I made once was PR+BD+SwS, the PR was with almost full crit rate, with boxed COV+hunter+db focus and possibly +4 DEX, so we took 2-3 cata rooms at a time

many heroes uses the pole but we buy it for the cancel its very good in pvp : Infinity Spear During a critical attack, increases Max HP, Max CP, Atk. Spd. and Accuracy. Casts dispel on a target and has possibility of reflecting the skill back on the target

I agree with the things u said before, from 61 i prefer Infernal Master + focus. And from 65 i think u should solo in Forest of dead.
U can take a quest in cursed village. U will have to collect tombie limbs and Dark mage wrests i think. Every 6 zombie limbs mean 1 SoP for you, so i think that is a perfect place for you to upgrade.

if you need some insane lvl...find a clan and go for rb parties
after 64 or 66 i dont remember...you will have song of vitality and the party leader will need you at every single raid

hmmm I think he knows what the hero pole does. He just got the idea of using pole to lvl up, from seeing guys with hero pole. Btw, with SwS I got max lvl of 62, so I dont rly know much after that, u should just rely on party, since it will be harder and harder to kill alone
