eglobal looked decent untill i seen donate and features, i deleted all post about it cause i knew they will fail. imbalanced server as hell, c6 with runes, with gm shop with items etc, i dont think its low rate when ppl doing 3rd class q in 2 days in x7 c6 it was insane grind at 50 60 lvl...

and classic do suck, not much classic at all, just crazy grind, with custom chronicles features, god interface etc.

It seems real players don't give a flying fuck about what you think. There are at least 4 k people online all the time ( an estimated community of maybe 6 7 k people ).
Nobody complained about donations.

d c grd imbalanced everything from shots to crystals and other d c grd crafting stuff. gm shop has way more than d c grd, all shots, misc items, even buff expanding scrolls imbalnce gameplay, top cp have full buff expanding slots, while random guys dont, and its just small amount of what is wrong in this server.

you telling me that in x7 c6 low rates its normal to get 60+ lvl in one day? last time i played i low rates ppl majority players were 50 60 after month and more. these rush of lvl community is what is worst today with l2, main point why servers die

I usually don't get involved in these private server discussions because they lead nowhere, and they're not productive, just people randomly flaming each other because they like a server that someone else doesn't.

However, I'm gonna chip in and give you my 2 cents.

1.- For there to be decent servers, there needs to be a decent community. What do I mean by decent community? It's simple, it's a group of players that are willing to play the game to enjoy it. Lately, most people just hop from server to server because they're hip, because that's where the big clans are, or the important players, and once those clans leave, the server dies.

Look at those 1 month Interlude servers (sometimes they're 1 week servers, like L2Mid). It's just admins paying clan leaders to bring some zerg for a while, which leads me to point #2.

2.- DEVs no longer make projects because they enjoy developing (like GoodTimesHaxor, OpalSnow or Zack back in the day). Nowadays all you have are these wannabe owners like Skylord with their failed servers (and false promises of 1000$ for getting a castle and shit), paying clan leaders to bring people, which in turn brings randoms because of high population, only to make some money and close them. Then a few months later, they do it all over again, and the same guys keep joinin those failed servers.

The community dies along with the game.

3.- Chronicles being bad for the most part DO NOT HELP. There's only 3 playable chronicles that you can enjoy, in my opinion. These are the ones that either have the best features, the best balance between classes and the best balance between mass pvp.

These are (in my opinion of course, feel free to disagree):

Interlude: Best farming zones IMO. Unbalanced mass PvP choices (It's either AOE mage comps or Archer parties, with lots of CC), awful olympiad and solo PvP balance.

Gracia Final: Somewhat okay farming system, attribute system is balanced, balanced mass PvP though Kamaels are annoying, solo PvP is somewhat balanced.

High Five: Worst farming system ever (LoA is dumb, daggers are late game PvE kings cause of lethals, there's hardly any AOE farming). Olympiad and solo PvP is the most balanced out of all the chronicles, mass PvP also has more variety, tanks can be DDs as well which makes for interesting setups.

4.- It's a dying game, in fact, it's almost dead. There's not even 1/10th of the population the game had 4 or 5 years ago. It's a 10+ year old game, which is why you see the same people on every server hopping from one to another. This is natural progression.

Last thoughts:

People should stop concentrating on moving where the big clans move, or following a specific "DEV" or owner. You should find a server you enjoy, be it relatively small or huge, and play the game while you still enjoy it, because soon there will only be a few under 1k servers and hundreds of 100 player servers, filled with Russians and Brazillians, because let's face it, they're the only ones playing L2 for the most part.

I'm waiting for Opal's Interlude project on classic client. Why? Because I don't care about how many people play a server. I stopped following clans around years ago, I play where I feel comfortable, and that project is gonna be interesting because of the mix of features.

1. Agree L2 community became too much spoiled. They want everything as soon as possible no matter of cost which makes project impossible to survive unless they keep making new server every few months. Also new MMORPG games are so easy that if player comes back to L2 he can't handle the grind.

2. Agree too. Most project developers are also lazy as f*ck. They want everything as cheap as possible no matter of quality. Also lazy do to balance related changes and keep OP things alive which gets exploited eventually. I remember Lithuanian project Avalonas (c6) back in 2007-2010. The project received free internet provider, free ddos protection and so on. All they had to have is server hardware and files. The project was made for learning experience and had not even accessories as donation. IF you wanted to donate for the server, you could contact directly admins and and tell them that you want to donate, but for donation your received nothing at all... That was my best L2 experience ever, community was enjoying server, admins/devs were enjoying their work and server was successful until Adept'as left the project (the main server manager basically)...

But you can't blame devs for wanting make money. To keep server alive needs a lot of work, and it's naturally want something for exchange... This is how society works now.

3. This is why I said H5 is best chronicle, but need serious PVE tweaks. Almost all 80+ zones ESPECIALLY DV/LOA needs xp/drop nerf to balance out things. Instances reset times should be increased by few times too. Mass PVP is okay, just early game is a bit overpowered by mages. Well it was always like that... I hope there will be a project who will take nuts and tweak H5 chronicle to balance out everything.

4. Of course L2 lower than in the past, but it's not so low as most of you think. Problem is that because of no good international stable project on the table, there are too many shity projects which divides community into small pieces.

devas stop arguing, h5 sucks and always sucked, everyone who has some brains agree. gracia was most fun and imo most balanced in many ways, not too much new stuff, also a lot of old stuff was there too, only kamaels disbalanced chronicle, maybe op atributes, but rest was awesome. while c6 became boring and too much stone age game, h5 went too far killing a lot of old features. like i said h5 only fun is that most classes are balanced. but oly arenas killed fun.
