L2Citadel will pay the price of other EU servers that failed in last few years, combined with l2classic opening, it will hardly bring any major clan to play there.

Which is sad, because I've been monitoring these guys for few months, but considering that almost every serious player will at least try l2classic (and many will stick to it), it just won't stand a chance.

To be honest, best clan around the world jumps on Archeage, not that classic server as you try to tell everyone.

I can tell at least 6 clan who played in most popular project last 4 years and jumped to AA. OOC is one of them, is someone interested.

Anyway, classic server won't attract much western player base just because of full russian client/game/community. The only western player who will play there will be those who understand a little bit russian.

So Citadel has even better shot than RPG Club. Since RPG club is 70% RU players based, that project will die for sure after l2 ru classic start.

Yeah, some of them will try AA, but their enthusiasm most likely won't last for long. Already seen on many other games. However, between AA and l2clasic, what do you think how this small servers will cope?

And about russian - yes I agree, some people won't join it because it's gonna be on Ru, but Innova will open international server (relatively) shortly after.

I don't think that Innova will open shortly EU classic server. This is why all mmorpg game has problems to come into EU, the language/country barrier. Translations for FR/GER/ENG, game shop sync with EU had always a lot of problems. So the earlies date for EU classic would be ~ late spring (May).

And we all know how terrible idea is to open something just right before summer or during summer.

In the end, L2 EU classic for optimal launch would be 2015 autumn, but during 2015 some new hot mmorpgs are coming again (Example: Black Desert).

L2 is dead. We can't change fact. L2 had 5 good years (2007-2012) which is like a rule for single competitive game.

Well, I guess we will just have to agree to disagree. Time will tell who was "closer to the truth". Cheers.

I don't know of any announcement regarding a EU legacy server.

CB is still rocking and testing + development is flying!

Ye Innova will make survey about interest to EU classic in 1week, but if ppl are interested they will open it one year later, cool logic.

There's indeed no announcement yet from what I could find. I was very excited when I heard they opened a C1/C2 hybrid (extreme) lowrate in Korea. I got sad when I read some of the rates were ridiculously hard with the reason making it a social server to have some good chatting going on. The experience rate was lower than retail x1 and adena rate was even worse than x0.25 from what I heard. If Innova will copy this I don't expect many to stay or survive ending up leveling a character in a hard way and realizing his/her character is a underpowered class.

Anyways Citadel closed beta going nicely. Biggest part is the devs keeping up now with the issues being addressed.

CB still going very well, a few more really experienced CB testers joined the group which has given a boost.

Some massive updates incoming to the server files in the next week should put us at about 60% complete as far as patch notes are concerned.

Work is also progressing nicely on the game panel, and Shepard is working on implementing a web based auction system, searchable database for all items and NPCs. The account panel looks really sweet!

Interest in the project continues to grow and traffic increases. :D

My main focus is Hellbound island, glad to report that we've went through Bird in a Cage quest without 1 hick up more than 1 time, currently running it again. Hellbound stages 1-10 are all working without any issues as well, so get your redbulls ready for that chimera aoe. Currently working on testing the rest of Steel Citadel starting with Tower of Infinitum then progessing towards Tully's Workshop, Foundy and of course Tower of Naia.

Just a random thought Citadel,

Are you using Azure/Supreme files ?
if not all, some of them?
