All dex servers will be free to play . It was the same since 2004 . Our partners from liru agree with our policy regarding low rate servers .
Low rate shop includes hats, agathions,offline shops etc , never an item with p.attack >1

A korean classic server sounds interesting, looking forward to it
Heard the koreans are going to update it's chronicles but take a different path to old l2, avoiding stuff like the post GoD chronicles. So eventually there will be 2 branches of L2, current one and "classic" one that will be more like the old L2.

But what about exp rune / premium acc / any other way of getting bonus exp ?

Exp on low rate is biggest issue and on l2classic it's an ENORMOUS issue, exp > all pretty much. I can understand that server has to live on something, but I imagine that liru/dex made tens of thousands of bucks on last several projects, and I don't blame you, but you don't have to make a fortune on l2classic.

Also, couple of questions:

Do you have any preliminary information on when it could be opened - 2014 or 2015 ?

Are rates going to be x1 or bit higher? Either way I'm fine, as long as it's not too high, since as hard as it is, l2classic doesn't have too many content, and if you make it so easy that people gonna reach endgame in 1-2months, then whole project makes no sense.

What about localization? Are you (or some other network) working on translation files to Russian, and what is more important to me - English.

I'd appreciate if you answer these questions and also if you can give any more information about anything, I'm pretty sure community would love it.

Yes, but only l2classic server atm is korean and it supports only korean language. No English l2classic server in the world exists atm, and ncwest apparently doesn't even plan on opening such a server. That's why I'm asking about english. Ncwest is just a franchise same as l2.ru . They rent files from ncsoft

l2.ru are translating those files in russian as they plan to open such servers. As for english translation, well, that might pose a problem. Hopefully they will do a somewhat proper translation, as opposed to a "google translate" one.

We still didn't got answer to what Genghiskhan asked earlier, about Premium accounts, exp runes, etc...would be by far better simple pay to play, but then again you could balance the premiums and runes, tho it is an long discussion...
