Two things on the pluss-side:
1. You have the lowest ping I've ever seen on a EU server. Around the half of what I'm used to.
2. You have an online community server, showing the names of all characters playing. Very nice and honest thing to do. Kudos!

Party is now 2x, spoil is 8x, quest drop/reward is now 3x.

Pet exp is 4x and server is looking good.

If you looking for a decent G3 server give it a try. Some things are still not working, but it is L2j after all.

Bug-reports have started coming. Can't help getting frustrated seeing the same bugs on one GF-server after the other. The L2J-project is indeed active, even today 2 patches has been added. But this is on the active branch. If you take out the GF-files, they are old, and no work has been done on them for a long time. There should be an active fork, or a pool, where gm's could submit bugfixes for each chronicle. In this way, in a matter of time, we would have an open-source, bugfree version of every chronicle, be it HB, GF or EPI. Even Freya. Can it be done?

Ask L2j team for that.

You complain of L2J but look at nostalgia C5 OFF has like 5 millions of bugs worst than any L2J, but people play it cos it says "OMGAD OFF FILES!!!1" This is plain bullshit.

L2J is not so bad if you compare it to OFF crap files.
The only OFF files i've seen to work flawlessly are russian servers, maybe because russians can code and fix the files, unlike western amateurs that open servers to make money from donations only.

Anyway, L2Final is dead (I warned them; x15 and still bending over, don't make sense). At the moment, this is only alternative. Vote, sign in and PLAY!!! And for GM, it's time to start squishing bugs!!!

Short update: Server is seriously empty, and GM has flagged the need for cash in order to keep it going. Unless population growes, or GM gets his donations, I'm afraid it will go down the drain.

Pay this server a visit this weekend, it is a refreshing alternative to Interlude and H5. Recommended.

I guess I am not going to join any new server until it is online for at least one month...

Didn't had time to play but in a way it was kinda predictitble. There aren't many admins out there willing to invest time & money in a low populated community and most of the time deal with various complaints, coz let's face it, we all complain and want this and that fixed.

And the problem with this kind of low community, is that even an admin insane enough to keep it up for 1-2 years, (like it happend on lineage-server), at some point, there will be no room for new players, and server will be run by a few players that were there from start, and in this time they made all that is possible +++ from skills to gear to epics, and this kind of low community server will never attract clans after it's been opened for 1 year let's say.

We say, or lie to ourself, that the server will grow, beacause if it was on line for this long it's a big + for " proven stability ", but that means nothing... no group of players will join to be raped by 2-3 guys at most, with all that is possible max-ed out. Or they will join, beacause they won't realize how " behind " they are, untill 1st "mass" pvp if 7-8 players vs 2-3 can be called mass pvp, and at that point they will either say " Server is corrupt, how can they HIT like this or how can we make this low dmg .. they must be admins or admin friends ", or " Server is bugged... " or whatever else reason they can find, beacause I haven't seen anyone to accept the truth, that they were seriosly undergeard, underbuffed, underskilled, so they will leave, leaving the server as it was.

And if those players leave, then server will be empty, and nobody joins an empty server, and if those players stay, they will make other people leave, so there is no way a server can grow with low community if it runs for 1 year, no way.

Unless, ofc, new players join that old clan, but... that's a dead end road also, as it eliminate competition.

I honestly don't know anymore how a server should be handeled, even that l2final, that dosen't compare in terms of population and files, with l-s server, or any other low community server that i've played, even that closed, and there I've meet with a lot of old l2 friends, it was like all low populated servers in the past converged into that server, still it closed, and I honestly don't understand why, maybe they set their goals to high, but the server was playable, good files, nice community... maybe they didn't got the money they expected from, so this dosen't work either.

All this servers, that are beeing promoted on pmfun and others, and I'm talking about servers that tend to be serious, as in chronicle/rates/feauters, they won't last past 1-2 month, there have been SO SO SO many attempts, but none succeded, only relative succes was of lineage-server, that did stayed on line for a lot of time, and that was only beacause that admin Oesen implicated himself, he didn't care about money at all, and he was a good guy, can't say this about ... let me think if I remember all the s.hit 1-2 month server I've played on "l2 nefna, l2 pyros, some 3x i think it was Luna, eragon, calamity, l2 lobby, l2 dan (some utterly crap server), aria(kinda like final), essenia (only h5 I've played), abandon (fast fail, turned into hr), BoA ( final/aria like, decent community, still fail), la2rune (such a big dissapointment), and there are others I remember playing on them, but I simply don't recall the names - no wonder after so many many many...

Anyways, point is, there were zillion attempts, and all failed. Personally I said I give up this game more times then the server I've played on, but I think now it's really no point in hoping and waiitng. IT's ALL THE SAME, they all say the same shits, "we're not here for money, we don't care if it's low populated, we're here to stay" but it never happens, some admins give nice courtesy excuse, some simply vanish in obscurity, result is the same, can't last more then 2-3 month.

So for me, after all this server I've been on, over and over and over again, making crafters, spoilers, buffers, just to be shutdown when it was started to be interesting, for me it's over the only nice memories I can hold, are for L-S server, and that's about all... rest is bunch of crap.

I felt nostaligc and searched for the thread with some pictures I know I've put there, it was actually my 1st post or 2nd on pmfun, and that account got banned for I don't know what reason, but if anyone cares viewtopic.php?f=14&t=39040 .

In a way I consider us both support players for the servers we've played on, rather then playing for ourselves. Setting up shops, supplying shots, answering q's and pulling forums alive. Spending time on crafting B-grade, rather than levveling, to avoid scaring off guests. Weird. Serverless at the time beeing, but I don't whine over that. Maybe I'll try the Elmore-thing, or the new HB opening in a month. Or maybe something will pop up from thin air.....

I played on http://www.lineage2.ro for many ears, it started at Gracia Part 1 in 2008, and is still running. I joined just after they updated to GF. Rolling updates, midrate, currently at H5. Left lineage2.ro when they reached H5, didn't like the fact that A-stuff was sold in Luxury. And I never got the H5-client to run smooth. Still dont. Joined Oesen's lineage-server.com just before it closed. Really liked that server.

For those wannabe-GM's that takes this seriously, take a look at http://www.lineage2.ro/forum/ - this is how a server should be run! Had LOTS of fun, and can hardly ever remember server was down! A GM that know computers, servers and how to stand straight. A man of few words, who enter topics late, and often lock them when a decision is made. A man that stands in the background, or play incognito. During more than 3 years, I met him ONCE ingame. A man that don't argue. He don't have to. It's his server. And he knows how to run it. Year after year. If I could turn back time, and join blacksea's server at GF again, I would have at least 3 more years of fun. But I can't. That's why I'm still searching.....
