Hello all, its been quite a while. Having quit lineage 2 more than a year ago, with the community at an all time low for private servers, I have been given the opportunity to give back something to all my fellow players, with a project, not yet seen in the private lineage 2 community anywhere.

These are just very early days, with the full team still not in place. However, one of the co-founders of this project(I am just one of three running this project) is a legendary coder/server owner of a finished era of lineage 2 greatness, the other one of the greatest exploiters ever known to the official lineage 2 server world. Together we will present to you- Icarus.

We are the first ever non official source to legally own the full hellbound file pack, with full server support and a 100% accurate geodata/pathnode system. No other server other than ncsoft themselves has ever had possession of these files.

We have all agreed that we will be starting with 2 new worlds, opening at equal times, showcasing the different nature of a 100% retail lowrate gameplay feeling, and a 100% retail pvp gameplay.

As I have mentioned, it has taken us about 3 months to come and acquire these files, and only last week did we all meet together and start work. We have agreed that we shall target the first day of august as our launch day, with our website and forums being open to the public on the first of june.

Down below is the breakdown of the two servers, we will not be running open beta since we know of all issues already(we have full kamael race support as well as the first ever 100% working hellbound island, right up to the first revisions placed the day before Gracia Part 1 was released), however we will be testing mainly against our anti cheat systems and systems protection network(ddos, floods etc...).

Doesn't sound bad, but why did you decided to open up so late? It's only april and you want to launch in august, people will grow beards 'till they can play on your server. An opening in max july i think would be better.

Any info on when you'll create the server's website/forums?
How do you plan to advertise the server?

Our website is made already, however if you read the post carefully we shall not be launching it until we have our fixed date of a launch. Advertising shall be handled in a professional manner on all known lineage 2 sites, with the possibility of getting something going on some ncsoft "friendly" sites. We are releasing one post per forum per week, since I had an outstanding account here on pmfun we have simply started here first, but by the end of the month these topics shall be over each famous lineage 2 board.

At the end Miahi you want the server to be open at the end of July max, yet we are opening on the first of August. Its only an extra day wait.


We will only launch when we know we have reached the optimum level of testing, we are using official files and therefore will only be happy when we have a level of protection and quality equal or better to a retail server. Hence the long wait for the server launch.
