Im my modest opinion ...i'd recommend u PW with the following equip....


Plated Leather Set / Luxury Jwls / Dark Screamer Focus


My choise rely on ths strengh point of PW ...Critical Rate attacks....as u have the highest Dex of all fighters Use it ! ...i have a PW with dye +4 Dex -4 Con ...just that....and he's really good i'm not exagerating when i say that 8 / 10 are critical hits...
Of course these hits aren't powerful as the ones of TH / AW ...but u do really more and if u have WC buff u can do pretty solo ....
I prefer weapons with Focus like SA...in this way u'll use PW for his best quality...rate of crit. attacks...and on Dex now we have New Top Dagger ...Naga Storm that has Sa Focus ..

Naga storm isn't top dagger. It's top A.
On higher levels you'll piss on that focus weapon. You'll need a cd weapon.
And you won't 8/10 crit either. Your crit rate is similar to that of the th.

And you should try +4 str +5 dex -13 con for pve. If you have vr it's perfect. On my aw with similar setup (instead of +5 dex it's +4 dex and +4 wit) and a doom set + ds focus it's rape with SE buffs soloing in catacombs.

I apologize i forgot to specify A grade Dagger ... anyway critical rate of PW is more than TH....

TH Dex = 30
PW Dex = 35
TH passive critical chance = max lv 3 skill
PW passive critical chance = max lv 3 skill
Let me say this.... Human fighter got huge HP , Huge critical power , more att.speed , but less Evasion, accuracy, speed....( dash FTW ofc ), and also less critical rate....
Also if u put dyes the difference get higher ... if i said this ( 8/10 critical hits..) is becouse i saw with my own eyes...and i was fuXXing staring at this ...just take a look to ur critical rate if u have 41 Dex / Focus lv 3 buff / and Weapon with Focus as SA...if u use any calculator of stat ..u'll see that with this setting attacking an enemy from behind will garantee u a critical rate of 90+ % ....just try

PS : i was talking about Pve.....Focus Sa suits great ...PVP agree with u CD for ever ...

About dye setting i would go just for +5 dex -5 con ...to make an equilibrate char....

hmm isnt it better to have wc?same vamp but lower lvl + the "haste" + some other buffs like the +m def(dont remember name )

The pw has a bit more crit rate, it's true, but it's not a valid difference, it's around 15-20 crit rate, that's 1.5-2% more. Full buffed, from the back your critical chance is 70%, and that's the top you can get.

Hey! I now see in l2calc that a back blow dagger gives 100% critical rate from behind!? Wth is this a glitch?

@templarium since you made an elf scout, i think there would be no point on comparing other races...

if you really are decided to make a PW then the equip should be:
armor: theca or plated leather... -> theca for def, PL for damage...

weapon: dark screamer[focus] or crystal dagger[CD]:
DS[focus] for more critical hits, CD[CD] for more crit damage...
but imo, DS[focus] is best for any dagger users...
more critical hits > large crit damage...
this is because you can deal more damage if you did consecutive crits than a single or two hits of high crit damage...

Icarus i used too that calc ....it says 100% lol...but i think that anyway should be a really high % ...
Anyway i'm growing up my PW so i'll tell which % really crits amount ...

Ups Gods3nD ..u right...WC is better ...Chant of WAR , Vampire . EVASION ( great for pw that already has a the best evasion ).
Many people prefers Se ...in this way they keep Vicious trigger on all the time and use more often skills....but i don't agree...prefer WC and this i have

Man, don't expose the strong things of the pw just like that. Highest evasion, yeah, but the aw is next with just 1 evasion difference. Highest critical rate, yeah, but lacks critical power. And stuff like that.

Can you test a back blow weapon?

Hard to find a Weapon Sa back blow .... to complete the discussion like Icarus said i just enlighted the good side of PW ..... the bad side is : Lowers damage among all daggers...(normal / critical ), low hp, the worst dagger in mass pvp ...did i forget something ?

Yeah elfs look gay (thats the worst thing)

And btw Mortal Strike is the best SA for Demon Dagger ( dunno if other daggers has it ,well yeah some may have it but i only noticed that on DD) +40% for deadly blow succes. OFC this is my opinion.

Didnt that stop existing in C3? And AW/PW w/ focus death don't rly need it
If i had to choose between PW and SR, i'd go PW all the way lol...
40~ PL set + DS focus
52~ BW/Zubei light + kris focus (DS focus still works nicely)
61~ MJ light and Soul sepa (if u can afford SA get CD)

If i had to choose an archer, I'd go HE tho.
If i had to choose a dagger I'd go AW tho. (or maybe Th, depends)

Nope, had one in a hellbound server. And +40% is always a need. And DD is a B grade dagger...there is long way to Focus Death and well if ya a good one ull manage to get A till then lol ^^ cuz first Mortal Strike is at 58 lvl. +40% success rate from all sides is fucking awesome.
