ok, so as u are new, I'll explain some basic stuff about L2

Some characters gain certain Passive Skills (skills that are turned on all the time). In those skills there are the Masteries, that increase ur attack/defense when using certain types of weapons/armor.

The destroyer, or destro, or dest, or de, gains masteries for 1 handed swords and blunts, poles, 2 handed swords and blunts. This means that when he has a 2 handed sword like Dragon Slayer, he will have more P.atk than for example an archer with the same weapon, just because the archer doesnt have sword mastery, but bow mastery. The same happens if the destro uses a bow. I dont think that using a bow is worth enough to buy it.

BUT, if u play in a Chronicle 4 server, use a bow. In C4 Frenzy, rage, etc also affect bows, increasing the P.atk by 300%. But in C5, C6, CT1(kamael) and CT1.5, frenzy will only give 300% to swords, blunts and poles. With other weapons u will have "only" a 50% bonus

you can use it @ pvp, when some1 running around u [destro speed ftw]

u r right.. but the first part about the info of the masteryes was kinda useless... honestly.. however a bow is a MUST for almost any char..100% u will need it in pvp!even classes like BD get a bow in theyr pack so if smb is runnin away they can hit him with the bow..for pve its pure shi7..even in c4 it was better to use pole/2h blunt/sword .. but rly bow of peril would be great for u:)

any class can use any type of weapon...

but, it really is an advantage for a class to use a weapon in which he learned a mastery for it...
example: tyrant will have higher patk with fist type weapons(an advantage.. lolz!) than with other weapons types because he has fist mastery...

@stormslord i would like to inform you that the weapon masteries will not limit your character to use that type of weapon only...
you can, and will always be able to use other types of weapons...

why do you people keep telling others to use bop?if you really wanna use bow,get db or shyeed else stay without

if you play a c4 server you will kick asses with a bow + freenzy + rage

sir i dissagree u totaly... shyeeds bow or db !? WTF U STAT AGAIN GMSHOP SHI7?!wtf?! at even x10 rates its pain to get db..and shyeeds?!go start endless quests in primeval!bop has SLOW atk spd and has QUICK RECOVERY!so u shoot way faster..

gm shop?if you can't farm a DB it's not my problem.it's not really THAT hard. buy the recipe if you can't go IT ,buy the shafts coz they're cheap and for mats there is manor.

what was right?!!? that db is easy to get?!or u dont need bow except if u have draconic bow?!its pure bullshit!if u r fkin nolifer like dvp maybe u can have EASLY(as he sayd)draconic bow..ffs its not easy at all i remember c4 times when we played 1+year with my clan(x4retail l2g1romania) and we made only 1 draconic bow(u should know that we had 3 nolifers there)-whole clan gave all of its money to get the fkin db for that noob archer..that db costed hmm like 2 a grade armors...DB aint easy to get. neither shyeeds bow!!!.well if u have many many friends that are rdy to help ya its not a big problem yes but if u play rly low rate serv nobody will think about YOU and solo-mode its way harder to have anything!btw looks like we differ 2 much...

DB isnt as big problem as u wrote

u can easily farm recipe in IT 1st room solo or duo, its about week-two farming

shafts.. best way is raid bosses

and mats - manor + spoil

u can do this in 1 month easily i think


but for destro until u get DB buy some carnage or bop

lol why is DB hard?
Just farm 4s a lot and u'll get rec in max 1 week.
Or as DrGreen said farm 1st room , wont be hard.
