I disagree with the 1 and 2. Panther may die immediately but... Anymage need 3-4 nukes. If DA come close enough to shield stun or shackle its a big thing and a moving step to win the pvp. Also when i was playing in a x3 server and i had a DA no one have ever killed my panther before i get close to them. It had low HP yes, but i was using aggresion/shield stun so my panther with about 200HP was keeping the dmg! Think about it.

In raids its better to have a high CON tank than a high p.def tank. Elves with guard stance have the higher p.def but they luck on CON. Bishop cant keep the healing for too long even with rechargers.Some bosses also have stun attacks. 2-3 seconds without aggresion are enough for a nuker to draw the aggro and die with all his party . Moreover the bishops and i think ee have the 30% heal so the more hp the more heal with same cost of mana.

That extra pdef means less fuss from the healers, but requires a tiny amount of attention from a recharger. Though, remember that most local raid bosses posess nukes, not stun. The stun usually goes to the bigger bosses.
An sk usually wears mj heavy set, but dc is better for tanking, it's true. Just remember that there may be more than 1 tank and also the tank has fortitude. Doesn't spoil the day if you activate it quickly while the raid boss is preparing his stun...
