well ncsoft has a point too, if we look back in history, Templars and usually Knights were very "imba plate armor users" too.
They really were top warriors in a battle, but imo, this is not history, it's a game and people like to play other classes except tanks ...

btw they op-ed the glad too because they saw Samurai movies and probably read some japanese history too :D:D

well heavily armored warriors in the bast could be beaten by strategy (swamps,mud,high-temperature liquids,high-temperature sand etc)

i like alot the RPG style
rouges stab lolrobes but leave the mages deal with the armored turtles

yea, but in l2 the "strategy"(poison, hold, bleed etc) are resisted by knights.
well there is no history record about mages (except legends) but also in l2 tanks have tons of mdef too.
and assassins were always used for 1 target usually unprotected, not for heavy armored "vehicles"

wr/th usually win tanks on oly at least on rpg/dex

benc/adrenaline/trouble were rarely losing to tanks on rpg, same like chudak/papushe/m4fiozo on wrath, and tanks are not newbies ;p

i play always GH and i won mutch matches against tanks.
just using dual daggers (+100 crt rate and + p.atk)
or you can give him a good backstab that lands double dmg and start running
with the hope that the match ends of time,so you win because the dmg.
ofcourse always use majestic light set,but if you find a good tank you cant win,they use always tribunal that you cant evade and he using bow (2/10) hits should be land,he have 2/3 ud,touch of life and other healing skills.A dagger cant win vs a good tank in oly.
Tanks that losing vs daggers in oly are noobs.

Tank > Dagger
