i cant understand the description of the kamael's soul mastery...

it says -----> Absorbs a soul. ### or more Exp is needed to absorb a soul. Maximum of # souls can be absorbed.

so does this mean that this is an active skill?
and when absorbing a soul, it eats up some exp?

thanks in advance to those who will reply...
btw, i need to get as much info on kamaels since they will be released in our server in the next few weeks..
and even with the many sites available to review the kamael skills, i seem to have difficulties in understanding some of the kamael's skill thru their description in those sites...

that skill automatically absorbs the souls of the mobs u kill and they come up as a buff with a hand and the number of the souls u have absorbed. They are needed to use some skills... sthing like the charges of gladi and tyrant :)

It's a passive. It's like this:

let's say you need 50 xp to absorb a soul. You kill a mob. The mob gives 500 xp. But you only get 450 xp, because the soul will be absorbed. It's involuntary. You will only get full xp when you are full of souls.

You're probably wandering why are ncsoft so morons that it now needs xp... Well, think of this: at high lvls you need more xp, so you won't be able to absorb souls from mobs that die in 1 hit, such as gremlins.

Not even on hihm lvls, u get the ability to absorb at critical after the 1st prof. So its post 20lv skill.

It absorbs XP but later on u base mostly on souls from crits + the skill that change ur hp into souls.

It's a passive -> ok

Second part is wrong:
If u need 50 xp to absorb a soul and a killed mob gives 500 xp, you will absorb 10 souls and get all 500 xp.

Go try it and shut up. If you absorbed 10 souls at a time it would have been imbalanced.

mind you, icarus only stated an EXAMPLE...
and i think you did not understand what he said...
try and review his reply and quote the part where he said that "you will absorb 10 souls"...
he said that if the mob gives 500 xp, you'll only get 450 xp because the soul mastery takes away 50 exp for absorbing the soul...
and next time, try to understand what others are saying before making a WRONG comment on the person's reply...

anyway, another question for this passive skill...
is the soul absorption always 100%?
or the soul absorption can also fail, and if failed you get 100% xp?

I play on official a soul breaker so i tried enough ...
Is not imbalanced because the exp needed for a soul grows with the level of soul mastery.

What i meant is that the exp is needed but NOT consumed for the soul absorption.

It was a pure example, at lvl 55 i get max 3-4 souls from a x4 mob.
