If you wanna triple box 4 gb is recommended if you're running vista/7. If you're on xp, yeah, 2 gb are pretty much enough, just at the edge tho. My l2 client can consume up to 1 gb. And a piece of advice.. If you wanna triple box don't even THINK about running in fullscreen mode. Get windowed mode, and keep all three boxes OPEN, one above the other. NOT minimized. You can switch boxes really easy. If you have a good pc and your video card got the ballz, you can get fyyre's standby deactivator.
Standby is when you're running windowed mode and you select something above the client without minimizing it, the client halts at 1 FPS to keep eating resources. If you deactivate that you can switch boxes instantly with almost null delay. But you need a good graphics card.

Mine's 9600GT and it can cut dual boxing without standby. Never tried triple w/o standby tho.

i tryed just for he luls and used 26 1 lvl boxexs in 1 place had no lag core acticity was 90% 1 , 90% 2 - 67% 3, 0% - 4

actuly the problem is that l2 uses unreal 2 engine so it kinda fucks it up.

U2 engine ain't designed for masses. Just like aion's cryengine. Aion siege = 3 fps for me.
