i'm confused on the type of armor masteries that i have to choose for my buffer...
naturally, robe type armor are the berst for mages/buffers...

but when i checked on the definition of the armor masteries it became confusing to me...

i checked their definition on stratics and pmfun and this is what i went:

heavy armor mastery - Increases P. Def., Casting Spd., and Atk. Spd. when wearing heavy armor.

light armor mastery - Increases P. Def., Casting Spd., Atk. Spd. and MP regeneration when wearing light armor.

robe mastery - Increases P. Def. when wearing a robe.

these definitions were really different in the in-game definitions..
for light and heavy armor, there is no other functions aside from increased pdef, according to the in-game definition...

so now, i am really confused as to what the true defitions are, and what is the best armor type for buffers...

You are right but

Magician's Movement Passive Increases attack speed when wearing a robe jacket and robe pants.

Mana Recovery Increases Passive MP recovery speed when wearing a robe jacket and robe pants.

Spellcraft Spellcraft Passive Doubles the spell casting speed when wearing a robe jacket and robe pants.

If you farm with a party the best is robe, if you farm alone and cant manage in a robe go for heavy.
I use robe for party and heavy for solo on my WC

Never heard of this. I don't think is true. Each armor set gives diferent bonus.

get a bw light and stfu..

@frosty check the definitions of mastery for each armor type under the buffer class, like cleric...

the in-game only states that they only increases p.def, no more than that...
but when i checked the definitions in stratics and pmfun, it was very different..
it has other bonuses, which i already mentioned above...

Heavy armor from passive skill: P.Def, Casting Spd, Atk Spd
Light armor from passive skill: P.Def, Casting Spd, Atk Spd, MP Regenaration

my buffer is a cleric, and the in-game definitions say that heavy and light armors only increase pdef, no other bonuses...

cleric in heavy? hmmm

try to cast heal in heavy >> youll be lucky if your party wont pk u

u need cast speed and only a robe suits u well

in pvp u may go for bw lite for more p def but its just a thought

in a grade u have to go robe

many of soloing PPs use heavy armor+big sword but i dont like that.. my set is bw light armor+duals/dagger
