I'm playing retail since c3 and i have to say If your playing anything other than CT1+, ie Chronicle 5 or Interlude.

Olympiad suits hiero in earlier chronicles, you can beat practically any class if you know how to play.
For Duelists, They are going to hit you with a few skills, but with pof,sheild,gtSheild and IC set you shouldn't take too much damage before you burned all his MP, then you simply kite him with drac or if you have FB focus works too, dont forget to keep his mp near 0 throughout.
The most challenging class i encountered in C4-C5 was WC's. Other classes weren't much problems.

Hiero in Chaotic Throne 1 is not the best oly char anymore, but still, not an easy kill by any means

The topic is not about Olympiad...the boy ask for an effective way to beat gladi in pvp And I dont think prophet(bishop) is the solution...... lol I know gladi is not immortal everyone CAN beat him with the right items but the topic is about THE MOST EFFECTIVE char against gladi so enought about those prophets ok???

Duelist is a low lvl and he is a noob a PP in CT1 oly wont kill a GL like in C4 in c5 and IL Gladi is super overpowered and that sonic rage skill FTW.

no offence but players with GL are some of the dumbest ppl i ever saw... to kill a glad is very simple:
if u know how, if u got the right class, if u got ur tactics right, and if u done this many times before, so u'll be on the lookout for any surprizes...
any class nuker/tank/summoner/dd/archer/dagger/buffer can do that in the right equip... but this is general saying...
my favorite at beating glad is ty too... because i got my tactics right and equip to, but for that i had to practice a lot and i got killed so many times to learn how.
for equip: use tallum heavy cause of the atack speed + the atack speed of the ty ull do insane dps. wepons u need a fist+crit stun or crit drain (ds+crit stun) and a draq bow. one of my favorite tactics is rabit totem/wolf+drac bow=hit&run.
for close combat i prefer fist+bison or fist + hawk -> stun a lot!!
