guys i shifted to a low rate server and started playing as bishop. My friends told me that bishops can go melee at low level cause of holy weapon skill. is this the correct way to solo a bishop? Cause bishops get miht of heaven late ingame.

In my opinion,you shouldn't start in a low rate server with a bishop because of their hard xp.But i think the best way to xp your bishop, is making a party with a friend of yours and heal them.I tried this in a low rate server too and it is succesful.

i've soloed my cardi most of time (cause i was playing more than mst of my clanmate)
soloing a bishop is really hard until lvl 70-72.
form lvl 20 to 40, just xp with might of heave, you can also try to xp with weapons, use dual before lvl 40 and xp on undead mobs with holy weapon, you will make same damages than normal fighter on same mob without holy

after lvl 40, you have might of heaven wich turn you into a undead killer machine, the range is pretty low but the casting is really fast
you just have to find the good spot to XP

from 40 to around 50 => go around aden and cemetary, there are ghoul type and undead archers (aggro so take care) you can also XP in DVC till around 54 then try devasted castle (but this part is the harder)

once you've reach 61-62, go xp at fotd until your lvl 70

from lvl 70, solo in rift with the awesome turn undead skill (i love to one shot a lvl 80 HPx6 mob for 69 mp )

and when u dont have undeads of your lvl and no1 to party u can lvln with duals . root the moob and than kill it with your duals , u have some selfbuffs that will amke it easier for you (in that way a lot of buffers are exping in solo)

What about the equips/dyes/etc?

At level 73, when u can enter in Pagan Temple, u can solo very well there.

till 52 you can solo very well but after that you get bored...get a nice party or reroll

bishop = clan / ally find a good clan whit ally and ur problem about lvl are gone .. i bet u gonna find many partys

20->40 mithril and top dual D, elven set jewels
40 ->51 divine and homu acumen, top luxury jewels
52->60 wizard tears acumen and bw robe, bo jewels
61+ tallum robe and bomt+4 acumen, majestic jewels
76+ i'm still with same stuff than in 61+ except jewels that are now tateo set.

for dye, since my lvl 40, i'm with wit +4 men -4, wit +1 men -1 and con+4 str -4

i've also a bo focus for melee.

I'd go for mj robe set. If you get stunned it's over.

Bishop should use robe and dmg dealing spell weapon in order to solo.
bishop is needed by any clan and is most usefull for raiding but most of ALL

DIMENSIONAL RIFT

imo all this about bish solo is bullshi7...they are not so effective in soloing..root+duals?!why?! u r in the mobs range so ur root goes to hell.. mob still attacks u..i dont get it...but if u want to solo there are much good locations..death pass till 55+ fields of massacre..cemetery...pirate tunel for 45+lvls but mobs are sooo hard-x4..u lvl the bish most effectively in pt to catas/necros/rifts(but my SE is enough for the rift...heal+recharge) and cruma places and etc.. u lvl much faster
if u want to solo use ACU wep+ava/dc(mj i think is better cuz 8% mp reg 15% cast and stun res) but i tell u again not effective...
u can also choose duals/daggers/bows but u dont have gooda buffs like pp/se/wc/ol(they can solo with combat weapons(not magical)
Dyes ofc go for +5 wit(u have acu+zerg low lvl-->so impove)-5 int and +4con(ur might of heaven is close range skill)-4 str
if u want to be normal bishop with healing role choose +mana up(or if u r good player use +convertion) and bw/mj sets.._5 with-5 int is for party healer not soloer..

you really never leveled a bishop
1° bishop can't go for +INT dyes, only MEN and WIT and WIT affect ressurect skill wich is the most used skill of any bishop (rez 90% !)
2° a bishop can nuke very hard with might of heaven and since holy weapon increase damages dealt with it, it's even more powerful
3° i've leveled my cardi on retail alone most of time and never had any trouble in solo.

Of course, it's long and hard but bishop is not an easy class.
If you have a se/ee in party, killing undead is peace of cake and xp is really impressive.
For A grade, majestic is a good choise after lvl 72 (to keep rez 90%) but dc and tallum are good too.
For the "stun" on a bishop, don't care about it, a bishop is most of time 3 shotted by any archer, you have to deal with it.
In pvp, your main role is staying alive as long as possible and spam major group heal.
Normally, your group leader have to kill your attacker 1st to help you
