Can someone PLEASE explain to me in simpler terms how to access this server?

I have downloaded the client and followed the instructions here http://www.l2-reunion.com/howtoconnect.html as well as I could understand. Let me repeat it and correct me if I'm wrong:

Add
78.46.68.199 L2authd.lineage2.com
66.240.255.107 nprotect.lineage2.com
to C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts and save, correct?

Then delete the original system folder inside the lineage folder and download and extract Reunion's system folder to replace it. Is that right?
Then click the L2 launcher inside that system folder to begin the game. If all those steps are correct, then why is it that when it loads and I put in a name and password, the server (there is only one server, not two showing) will not move when I press confirm?

Am I suppose to create an account somewhere else before I try to enter the game? Am I suppose to remove all that stuff in the windows host file before adding 78.46.68.199 L2authd.lineage2.com
