we all know mortal blow , deadly blow , blinding blow skills type in L2off is diff from L2J when the attack is landed ( yeah , more effect , crit sound )

in L2J even a blow skill landed , there was no sound like crit , and no effect , just like MISS

now i wanna ask : what makes difference ? it's both using the same client of the same game....... so ? is it about SYSTEM folder that makes differences about blow skills

i love dagger classes , and i love it when blow skills landed on target ( it's rock , addicted ) but nowaday there were all L2J SV , and ? forget about the epic-blow we had in L2OFF


is there a way to fix this in L2J ? i tried to replace skillsound , skillgrp or whatever related to skill in a L2OFF SYSTEM folder but none of them works

First of all you forget one thing:
L2Off is C4 extended and L2J is newer chronicles.
So you first need to see how it is NOW on retail.

1. Go check on retail and sniff the missing packets.
2. Learn how server-client applications work because you have absolutely no idea.
3. Learn Java or give all the data to a L2J developer (talking about some real developer not a XML/HTML editor) to implement it.

No.
Hosts is a windows file related to DNS which most servers use to redirect client from retail login IP to their own.
But most L2Off servers do have some client-server anti-bot system.
Some Java-based to have such too (like mine).
The thing is that its easier for a L2Off server to purchase a anti-bot software as they already pay for the files. On Java-based, most cases the server files are free so they are not used to pay for a piece of software.

Common example can be commercial retail software, like Windows.
