hello ppl.. i'm going to open soon a new l2 server.. pvp or mid one.. and i think it will be Interlude... i'm tired about scifi kamalol servers and dynasty sets..there will be{ only one gm} who will not interfere with gameplay/ NO DONATION /NO CUSTOM ..dedicated machine with :
4 CPU Intel Xeon Exa Core
32 GB RAM
2 HDD SAS 15000 giri/m
Raid Hardware
ISP 1Gbit/s

Ideally, I think the majority of players would want a 10-20x server, either C5/Interlude/Hellbound with no crappy custom modifications. No GM shops, no NPC buffers, no ridiculous donations, no auto-pickup, hour long buffs blah blah. A good website where a community can build is pretty helpful too. People tend to avoid L2J as well (although you wouldn't need to use L2J for a server using older chronicles).

Just a balanced, well-developed, stable mid-rate server. I don't think there's any out there at the moment (if there is, feel free to point me in the direction). L2Carnage was the most promising thing out there, but died. Guess it didn't have enough advertising.

Thats an interesting thing to say Nekys. All major decisions you make about your servers, well RF anyway, you run a poll for the players before deciding what to do. This comment isn't meant to be a flame, just more of an observation.

Yes but I didn't ask players about the rates. I wanted a low rate, I made a low rate, without asking anyone if he would like a low rate. I just did what I loved to.
When I opened RaidFight, no one would play on a low rate, but was there ready when people turned their minds...!

He made a poll about the rates (and so the server concept), didn't ask how to fine-tune his sever idea.

Democrasy is different thing that popularity...
I wouldn't make a server according to what is popular because wouldn't be what I would really love so I would hate it after some time...

I didn't got offenced anyway, good to point this out so I make more clear my primary statement...

I completely aggree, in my L2 experience I noticed that if you want a server with at least a medium life-span then you go from 10-20x just like you said.

Best server is without any rates,i mean 1x-9999999x.No brasilians and greeks
