That evasion gained by the mastery is not enough, since you have no other evasion passives. Go for heavy armors.

Depends on the server you play. FOr instance if you ahve money to get a draconic and enchant the whole set for +6 will be OK :) You`ll get some magic defense and draconic pasives will help you a lot :)

the server i played is only 1x exp and enchanting item is very hard....i am asking in general....it would be ok for a glad to have a lyt mastery(small increase in evasion, but increased in spd.) or a heavy mastery(with high p def but a spd of a turtle)??

I consider that heavy armor is the way to go for a gladiator. But (if u can, because in a 1x server is really difficult) having a light armor with u as a secondary armor it would be really useful when facing mages (sps-sph-sorc), since pdef doesn't matter at all and some extra dex/mdef would be really helpful in cases like that.

My proposal is go for heavy as your main armor (B- blue wolf, A-tallum) and if u can get a light just for some special pvp occassions :)

You know, there are threads about this same thing, use search...
To make it short... Use heavy armors, when you have some money to spend, get yourself DC robe (para res)

maj hwy is good on gladis , it gives u a boost vs destroyers , archers , tankers , the accuarcy +3 isnt really usefull , but the patk+4% and str+2 is good with some dyes for +str , in the other way -2con isnt so bad
