To the playing community,

In your opinion, Why is there such a small community playing at L2 Serpent?

Seems like it is advertised enough.
The GM staff logs in on a regular basis.
The server has one of the most complete set of files for L2J.

I can't seem to figure out why the community has not grown. I'm hoping the rest of L2 PMFun's Forum Warriors could give some insight as to what they think the problem is.

for once because you just want more players by saying it's awesome and there is already a seprentl2 topic to tell this

but anw, the server's good apart from 1-2fatal flaws, it should have about 1k player, search for the problem inside the existing community[one of the reason why i left, 2nd is l2net] or the voters

if the server is good, there will be np getting more players, prolly u should advertise this serv on other forums too, that works well too with detailed information [not just site and rates]

This post was not meant to be an advertisement, Sorry you saw it that way. I was considering playing there and just wanted to know what everyone thought was the cause of the low population.

Lineage is pretty much dead. Get over it.

The problem with Sepent L2 is that L2Net runs beautifully. This is a bot program, and 2 friends of mine bot that server too. The only way you can be discovered: use scripts.

If you just simply tell the bot to kill all mobs within a certain area it will be hardly noticeable that someone ever used a bot.

I played there for 3 months but i got bored and stopped, not to mention that school started But no matter. My 2 friends (mentioned earlier) are still botting there and they say it will be fun when the server gets popular. I keep telling them that it will last long but they have patience

Not to Mention the big clan who used the AQ bug

why playing in a server with no vitality 5x? its almost the same as playing retail with full vitality.when it was in java version was a rlly big mess there; and l2j or l2dc servers dont gather many ppl (exception is RF which started as java);
making the quest rates balanced etc. dont kill too much dont get too much but dont make it hard and boring;the staff shouldnt get involved in flames in forums with players or other gms(u can always get ddosed hard);daily activity(players dont like hearing im busy working on the next fuking update; u cant handle activity as gm get a team or smth);

the comunity has its role ; to welcome the new ppl and vote everyday;and other stuff; the ppl tehe shouldnt be retarted like , oh ill get all CHS cuz i pawn and i rlly need another ch for my alt clan of a random spoiler i have; ill make 5 seiges get 5 castles ; when new ppl come and see castles taken by alt clans its pretty sad.

srry for double post; shalana there wasnt any AQ bug when serpent was java; that AQ was bullsh1t; lhyno can say i was online with him ; we wnated to kill her but then my pc got fried so... anw ... AQ in the middle of room ; no guard ants ; only 3 royal guard ants and a bit of nurses ; that was AQ on serpent dunno if i still have printscreens lol.

AQ has gone through several updates since Serpent was originally L2j, the biggest fix was the incorrect amount of Ants that were guarding her.

There has been some AI changes as well as updating her stats to Gracia Final. L2DC has also gone though a ton of Geodata based updates to correct pathing problems.

And yes, that supposed AQ bug does not work on my server, if it did everybody would have AQ rings.

As for the the low population I have to think it is because players today are either lazy and want to be given everything.. hit 2 mobs and you are level 85 with all skills. As most players on my server will find is that many of the old bug that used to plague L2j servers have been fixed and are actually working as they should on retail.

Vitality? Why, you want to play on a 5x server but have 15x rates? Out level your gear because the adena rate does not match the Vitality boost? Vitality on retail is fine as things are 1x, but on most private servers the rates are higher so Vitality becomes useless and often unbalancing so we are not using it on 5x. You want that fast leveling stuff go play on a mid to high rate server.

My system is pretty well balanced as far as rates go, and I do not have a GM staff because I do not trust anybody with GM privileges. I did once and it turned out to be a disaster that I quickly fixed. I have been able to manage the system on my own, perform weekly updates as well as talk/listen to player reports.

Either way my server is still here.. unlike several others I have seen open briefly and then vanish.

Well, it is true

no private server has a wroking AQ except those that use off files anw... AQ on l2dc still needs developed :p

l2 is a good game, it keeps the look of an MMO and doesnt have cartoony lolgraphics

people are tired of beginning again in another server after so many wipes/Servers closed, so they just dont leave their lowrate for a better one, or if they leave its for a break and just play high rates.

imo thats what happens, people dont like to begin again again and again from 0, even for all the promised better gameplay.

Thats a good point, However what about all the displaced ppl from servers like L2 Integral ( boasting 1k ppl ) and older servers like Xeebra? (Also hosting 1k ppl) Where has this playing population gone?
