sps is better imo, but a sorc sub is not that useless, firevortex can hurt quite a lot against fighters

atleast in gracia final, and imo it sux that one mage > the rest... >_<

ps: necro is out of question, too much dark resist to do something (solo), in mage group you need a necro for gloom etc

there is no better/best char ffs

in overall not ofc, but in some situations yes: so then let's recap:
-sph is better against mages, it's an ultimate mage killer[silence/wind wortex] and has the strongest matk with the lowest cspd which makes him the best pve nuker [not counting the necro with his summon]
-sps is a "quickie" frenzy, it spams skill like hell for a short period of time and after that he/she is out of the souflé
in full buffs, the sph is better due to the magic critical restriction, but in pvp w/o fullbuffs the sps stands out
the difference is much like tyrant vs gladi

Adn yes u could compare SH and SpS to gladi and tyrant. Being SpS and gladi great with spike damage, and running out of mana fast

at pvp/pve sps>>sorc with no doubts

both have cancelation
the diff is in
a)sorc=only fire while sps has holy
b)sorc matk>sps matk
c)vortex vs vortex(-aspd vs -spd)
d)craploadz of slow+2 great dot attacks vs decay:D
sorc aint a bad mage at all and its fun if u r sick of sps
sorc was realy the lolest mage but now its kewl i like sorcs
