Well i play on x4 server and i would like to know what is the spoil rate , because every time i spoil , is activate , but mobs very rare become blue so i ll be able to sweep something from them. Is this how is suppose to be ? btw it`s a final client

Well, spoil englobes 3 factors:

-landing

-sweeping

-reward

To land a spoil, this means to be able to actually put the mob into a spoiled state, it requires a certain lvl of the skill, according to the mob's lvl, just like any magical skill.

Sweeping is obviously when u spoiled a mob, and u are able to take an extra reward. Sometimes it fails either because the mob wasnt in a spoiled state when he died, or because the spoil lvl is too low

After sweeping u have a chance to get a reward due to the spoiled state. Although, there is also a chance that u wont get anything.


So, when u speak about "rate" there are 3 factors involved. The "land" rate of the spoil skill, the "sweep" rate that is determined according to the mob's lvl, and the "reward" rate, which is fixed by the server admin and determines the chance to get an extra reward from the spoiled mob.


So there isnt a simple answer to that. When u spoil, kill the mob and then sweep, but get nothing; it can be either cos u have a too low spoil skill, or ur lvl is too low, or the sweep fails, or u simply get no reward...

Well i have to be more specific i guess, so:

1. the mobs i spoil are lower lvl than i am

2. so always the spoil lands , meaning that the spoil condition is activeted

3. but when i sweep it , i never get any reward ( the chance is very rare)

So, is this how is suppose to be ?

Check the lin.pmfun site to find out the spoil chances of the particular mob..If the chance is small you should contact a server admin and get the answer..

ofc you will not get any reward if you are 70 and you spoil 20 lvl mob:)) the difference ( the lvl gap ) i think is 20 lvl's ...

Simple...your lvl is to high.
If you have more than 8 lvl you will get nothing or you will get 1 from 8.
The best spoil /drop is when your lvl is +/-3 than the mob lvl.

That is an option as well..Are these mobs very low level compared to your dwarf?Whats the chance to sweep a spoil reward out of the particular mob?

However,i believe that the best spoil is up to a couple of levels before the next spoil lvl,in terms of actually getting the mob spoiled that is...In terms of getting the reward i believe its green to yellow mobs...I am not sure about light blue mobs,plus purple mobs will be very hard to spoil,at least after 56....

Yellow mobs could be a pain to spoil as well in some level ranges....For example to spoil lvl 70 mobs when you are 67..You will have to spoil an average of 2-3 times in order to get the mob spoiled..Cause you have lvl 64 spoil and lvl 70 mobs are into lvl 68 spoil skill range...

Came on people , why does it have to be the lvl difference , i am not a noob being an 80 lvl spoiling 20 lvls , i spoil white and yellow mobs but still the chance is very low , when i tell that to the admin he says it`s the way low rate are , is that true ?

tell us which mobs you spoil...your lvl...and the rates of your server at spoil..and what you want to spoil..

Then go to lin.pmfun.com site and check the spoil rates of the mobs you hunt...Calculate your chances compared to the spoil rate on your server...Then again,if the admin said that there is no problem with spoil you should take it into consideration and probably accept it as it is...

I remember before I left a private server I used to play, it was X4 too (la2crazy - saphire). After an update there was no spoil reward eventhough dead mobs had the blue shine. Ofcourse the update was a fail in a lot of things, not only spoil and soon the server stoped working at all. This is the main problem with the private servers, sometimes nothing works or it doesn't work right. I had my lesson and I play at official! I suggest you do the same
