I always use to roll with meele classes and i never made an archer in a MMORPG until now,thinking of making one though.How do archers compare with other ranged DD in endgame pvp considering crit reduction buffs and the anti archer song/dance?

archers suck nowadays, forget about them
almost no new skills, too many resistance, you might want to try an arbalester, but nothing else

Yea archers suck but with decent gear everything is possible i would choose pr or none of them...dunno about arbalester,heard that they have sucky bow range.

archers sux guys .. nowadays u go only with nukers at siege.. not!
archer class is still the best one in mass pvp and no one can beat that !

No shit. That's a huge nerf...

Guys, do you really think that archers got seriously nerfed by song of windstorm?!

Dance of bladestorm sucks cause it durates 15 seconds only.

What about Archer's Will?

who cares about dances/songs? it's duration and re-use time sucks

the real nerf is that while most classes get imbalol skills, archers got what? nothing
til 78 your fine somewhat, still sucks to lvl, after that you're totally screwed and afaik on retail servers it still works that if someone is close, the patk gets even weaker

well... a friend had a sh and a DE archer for me,never had an archer and i heard they are kinda fucked by windstorm but still i'm gonna play it...Now to find some setups to get past ressist song/dances.Thks... :D

btw does the SR lvl 79 skill counter rapid shot work on arbalesters crossbows in party?

cuz it's not written in the skill description, unlike real target's one.
