Is it safe to upgrade set items to +4? I have a +3mithril boots and it broke when i tried to make it +4. Is this a bug or it is only safe to upfrade set items to +3? thanks for your answers

you can enchant safely every armor part to +3 except fullarmors like composite,doom heavy,doom light,bw light,avadon light,avadon robe etc that can be safely enchanted to +4.
there's a chance to succeed that i've heard it's about 66% but it's not sure.
if you want to enchant your armor without breaking it you can try using blessed enchanting scrolls which work like a normal enchant scrolls but if the enchant fails,it brings the value of the enchant to +0 and the armor doesn't turn into crystals.

statistically u have 40% of chance to get a piece of set to +6 but u need to enchant all the set to get the enchant bonus (i've success a full plate set enchant to +6 and bonus is really interresting)

Some private buged server have "safe enchants" , which enchants the weap/armor with 100% chance. But those server are 4 noobs.
