Not really since Touch Of Death reduces you maximum CP and has a chance of removing your buffs and as we all know TK isn't a class that has a lot CP. So basically the TK will fight with no CP, he may be able to heal himself but it won't be long until he runs out of MP and then GF.

Sk in pve is almost as good as tk, the only difference is the attractive cubic. But the cubic ain't great so...

In pvp it's a whole different story. Sk > tk in pvp all day long simply because he uses offensive magic and strong debuffs. Until they get the smart cubic and the magic mirrors, the tk loses constantly because every sk worth a damn knows that in tank vs tank both power break and hex must be landed, and he must drop the enemy passively, with poison and bleed.

The attractive cubics removes debuffs so... Not so shiny anymore, but the sk still has an edge with those drains. The only problem here is that the tk has magic barrier.
The magical mirror reflects hex and pb. This means the sk's great advantages have to be used very carefully. If hex is reflected, jump the fuck back or you're dead.


I can tell you this. In full buff, the winner is clearly sk because of his great damage given/taken ratio due to pb and hex.
Self buffed it's much more disputable.

the smart cubic removes debuffs, the attractive agros and roots afaik; also in full buff dont think sk will manage to kill a TK.

Wait, what is that comparison smart/attractive cubic? We know that smart removes debuffs and attractive roots and aggros. You're saying any sane TK would pick attractive over smart in pvp? /:)
Do you have any idea on what hex and power break mean? No wonder you were playing the easy necro on raidarise. Hex + pb means the tk is as gimp as wearing equipment two grades behind. The pure truth.

@Godsend: yes, in pve it's pretty much the best tank. Low mana cost for aggro. And that cubic is damn GREAT for banishing undeads.
But in pvp the only real part I see in that class is touch of life which will give a nice hp jolt, but useless vs pb and hex.
And ofc, touch of eva. But not comparable with touch of shilen and pain of shilen frankly.

ontopic: i see TK as a GREAT fortress.... he is almost inmortal with life cubic and so good shield def rate but IT BORES YOU TO DEATH! to lvl one seriously... SK can be much funnier xD

I would chose SK as main coz he lvls-up with lethals at MOS(mos is huge so no problem with high-pop) in addition to TK(oh i forgot...TK does not even have banish..) and because in low-mid lvls SK is very user friendly-funny.
B U T in end-game things change... every clan wants to have a TK.He is the best RaidBoss tanker in l2, and in big-scalle pvp TK owns better than SK coz

1)better dex= better shield def rate(but thats not the prob both have 100% with guard stance).Dex=better attack speed= quicker hate auras (at least in older chronicles)

2)CON i)stun resistance ii)moare life (important when 20ppl are on you..) iii)moare CP potions

3)TouchOfLife can be proved godlike when you spam hate aura and all hit you

4)Cubics i)life cubic= heal (very good for tank)
ii)attractive= root+hate
5)Evas Will = Better m.def

Last Touch of Eva (party heal of TK at 81) VS Touch Of Shilien (mass TouchOfDeath w/o hp/cp loss) i cant decide what is best

result for me: if you have the balls/pattience/bot to lvl-up a TK do it
unless SK is a very good option too but he is not the super-dupah TANK, he is the most OFFENSIVE tank(hex,pb,cubics,drains,TOD,bleed) that PWNS in small scaled pvps

They both serve their role in pvp, but TK > SK for raids.
