As the title says, Innova already wants to open a Russian Classic Server

The idea is cool, but they made it too much hardcore. Who ever played on retail 1x pre IL? You knew that soulshots were hard to maintain because of adena and gk was very expensive.

L2 classic server has 1/6x adena drop average, meaning around 0,16x adena drop. You get 15~30a per mob on level 20. It's really too much grinding imo.

That rate can be easily changed if they get enough feedback. I just want them to launch it

The classic server is extremely hardcore afaik, you get 1-2 adenas from keltirs, which should give you an idea. That will definitely push a lot of people away, myself included, because let's face it, no westerner wants to no-life in a freaking MMORPG in 2014, everybody is used to instances and the grindless exping.

Now, the classic server currently has 12k active players, all of them paying a monthly subscription as of today, which means the server is basically doing good in Korea and it might push it towards Innova or NCWest.

What I'm worried about is, knowing how incompetent NCWest is, Innova will be the only company that will be able to actually host a classic server while keeping the bots in check (to a certain extent), which sucks because my ping wasn't that great when I played on Innova.

yep, C1 with x1 rates is too much grinding,it may be fun to experience original lineage2, but i would only join when it would be C5 and leave after GF

i am already tired of p2w on core, neither have time to grind 130h on cr to 99, id better be lowbie on decent chronicle where some brain mattered

the client is a mix of C1,C2 and C3. Their first update is prolly gonna be to C5+Interlude; later on Kamael+G Final

Risan I missed you, add me on Skype (Apophiseu). I am currently waiting for ArcheAge or maybe Black Desert, but if this Classic Server comes I will definetly play. Ill3gal is still around, but he can play only during winter. It would be nice if we can get a decent group to play like 3 characters.

Rusians are already having fun on the KR server.
