Hero means nothing.
Bla bla bla, we all know it.

Now, I ocasionaly visit hopzone and some server sites (who know if I might find smth interesting). Today, I found a server which had in rules section this very interesting line:

Deslogar nas olympiadas: o Player que deslogar terá tera seu Nobless Retirado! (terá que fazer a quest novamente)

Its in portuguese (I wanted to show the original version), and it means:

Delogging in olympiad: a player who delogs will have his Nobless removed! (he will have to do the quest again)


I personally HATE feeded heros. I was feeded for the first time this week, just cos I had 3 points left and I cant live without oly. For me, a hero should represent his class, he should be the best player of his class (at least on main ofc). A hero should be respectful and honorable. Should be a good player with good skills. This was what NCSoft planned. As u all know it is not like that. So, do u think what I wrote above is a good measure to avoid feeding? Ofc u can just kill the feeder, it would solve much actually, but it could be a start. What do u think?

i a gree and i also disagree with you ( kinda paradoxal but you will see why )
heroes really should represent the best of the best at there class the elite etc etc etc. BUT on some servers comes the ally factor in
there are n number of x class in your ally
and theres the enemy ally that wants to steal hero status for its perks
instead of fighting amongs themselves the people in your ally will feed you ( if your the lucky 1 ) and you will become hero to help ally
here feeding is needed
still you wont have the same fame as 1 that managed to get hero status through hard work and skill

thats my opinion about feeding in oly
i find it stupid and nabish but sometimes it can be usefull

the hero should be the one and only-the best!

i faced feeding in its dusgusting form in xeebra-the biggest clan on the server had the half of the heroes SIMPLY CUZ THEY FEEDED EACH OTHER
ive seen oly feeding b4 but wtf!not that way!

ur pc crashes
ur electricity fails

I know, I've been lucky enough to get in the biggest clans in all servers I played so far, or at least have proposals. Atm on abyss Im in the biggest ally of the server, in one of the best clans. I know what ur talking about, and I still disagree. A guy from my clan disagrees too, and a month ago he killed a hero in oly, that was from our ally. Well, I would do it too. That hero left ally and now he's just a random guy that cant win a match in oly (lol)

so for u heroes are the respected famous best skiled pro players etc etc ?
i see them in another way .. donators that buy 20 noble chars and get points from them and u will never get more points
i was a hero for some months cuz i choosed a not popular main clas , and every noble from my clan gived me a point but than a donator choosed my same class i wined vs him at oly but than he feeded with the points of the nobles of all his ally and get more points than me
and i wasnt hero anymore
what a bad end :/

Oly rules should be updated like this:

All participants in every class must fight 10 matches against the first 2 players of their class list and win at least 6 from 10 matches each. Without these victories hero status won't be confirmed despite being list leader with points.
If there are less than 3 participants in a class list, the standard point system applies.

This would proove the next hero's superiority versus his/her rivals in clean class-based fights. Furthermore, the feeding clan would have to create at least 2 other character with the same base class, and it doesnt worth for the 3rd one.
Imo proper "feeding" should include better equipment and skill enchant levels - these can still make huge differences against weaker clans/allies*, but the wannabe hero would still have to fight for his title.
* if the feeder ally controls the respawn of jewelry bosses and raids with S grade and enchant drops, for example...

Hmm, that's definitely a test-worthy solution.
It still is possible to feed, but the feeding clan/ally will have to feed 3 people for each class, and then have 2 of these loose against the other, thus still succesfully feeding your own clan/ally.
I don't think it's a huge problem for a large clan/ally to have 3 noble chars of the same base class, but this way it's definitely a lot harder to pull off this feeding crap succesfully, especially on classes that aren't very "popular".

the feeding thing is imba.. im not saying its useless and all but its really nabish... anw every1 will know who gave u the points so the whole server will laugh of ur skills ))

I agree, something must be done. I've seen cases in which mediocre players become heroes.

Let's take dvp for example. DON'T tell me that he deserved to be hero on retail. We all know very well that his targetting skills aren't so good and that he lacks the logic talent to play this game efficiently. Don't believe me? Don't you remember him as a sagi in varka? Don't you remember when that ghost hunter hit ue and he kept shooting at him, despite the shitloads of evasion he had? That's skill? No. Skill means forming logical reflexes, such as hit ue -> skill kite, or cast something trick it. Things that our fellow dvp clearly lacks.
Take kagan or gustav. Those are good players. Dvp is just overrated.

I don't know why you guys are thinking of so many rules, WHAT is wrong with you? Doesn't the simple 5-word rule blind you!?
No fights between ally members.

on offie, they don't even delog, they just go into oly completely naked and are almost one shooted everytime
btw, in gracia 2.3, it seems that in oly, members of same clan/ally can't fight each other. wich is the first good step
a second step seems that specific "oly items" must be used to fight oly.
theses oly items are jewels, it also seems that oed weapons can't be used anymore
at this time, ct2.3 is on korean PTS so info may change at any time (they've already changed prophecies buff 3 times during PTS)

Oly and hero status aint about who is the best player on his class.
It's about which clan is better organized.
Thats cuz heroes are very useful at getting castles etc.
Who would ever go to siege w/o valor? no1.
Who would ever go to siege without someone(s) with cancel stick? no1.

Thats the reason the game is like that...
It's all about valor and cancel sticks. Hero status never proved who's good
and who's not.

On the other hand, every ally in big servers have a shitload of people.
The fact they feed a certain person is cuz they trust him.
They wouldn't feed just anyone who just joined the ally

If ally members won't be able to fight each other, then the WC's and PP's or w/e that farm points for some clan/ally will be untagged lol
So doesn't make much of a difference....

also ive read smth about oli fights as a team of 3, and another competiton somewhere in gracia , if u win there u get stuff for s84 or smth like that.., well tahts really stupid ..imo every1 should have access to recipes and all; let's say i go there with my friend X and he kills me i kill him, my Y friend comes with Z also a friend and we start sharing our items to make s84 recipes.. as i said imba...

Well, i dont really like those heroes that still cant use their normal skills in pvp, just their heroic ifuckuall, heroic iamimba and heroic iamimmortal ... etc.
Our dominator in clan can kill his hero rival at least 4 different ways, because that hero is just as light-minded as his fellows are, and plays 4-button pvp (1. sleep 2. heroic zerk 3. heroic miracle 4. seal of suspension). Oh, sometimes he presses the 5th button accidentally, which activates heroic valor or a debuff macro. OK, overlord is not an attacker type mage, he's support so damage dealing isnt his major job, but... mr. Hero runs backward and keeps sleeping when a tyrant in nm light rushes onto him??!!
And despite the eternal laughter, feeders keep "owning" with hero skills and general tries to rip off their hero status are just in vain - because of their noblessechar001, noblessechar002...

Yes, heroes must demonstrate the best of his class. Feeded heroes = lanterns with imba skills (dont need luck as augments do)
And... that no-fights-in-same-ally thing would really stop feeding? They would just quit the clan and be invited back after 01.month...
There's no handicap char, all can fight his opponents in class-based. This should be the minimum requirement for hero status, not maximum points.
