Introduction:
I would like to introduce the Lineage 2 server I chose: L2 Chromatic.
It is a German server, but they must have a decent connection quality because I'm connecting from USA with pings around 150. The accounts are auto-created, and no patch is required. In order to connect to the server, you need to edit your hosts file as described in the Connect section on the server's homepage.
An important thing to remember: when you're logging in, be sure to choose the server Bartz. Sieghard is there only for testing purposes.
For support you can either use L2 Chromatic Forum, Teamspeak 3, or ICQ (instant messenger).

For support (this is only applicable to L2Chromatic players) on Teamspeak 3 or ICQ in English or German, you can communicate with one of the following GMs:

In Teamspeak 3, if you see a GM in the Public channel, you can talk directly to him/her, or you can go to the Support-Warteraum room, and as soon as a GM sees you, they will enter this room and help you.

Potions:
Mana potions and Quick Healing Potions are buyable.
60 minutes Juices are buyable for Apiga (Event Items).
Buff-Food is buyable.

Enchants:
Safe Enchant is at +6
Max enchant is at +25
Ancient Enchant Crystals are used to +16
Normal enchants are buyable with Medals (event items).
Enchant Weapon Scrolls and Enchant Armor Scrolls can be dropped in Catacombs and Necropolis (10% higher Chance).
Ancient Enchant Crystals may be obtained for Festival Adena (Event Items)
Explanation: with ancient enchant crystals, the enchant process can fail, but if it fails, the item won't be destroyed or enchanted down (downgraded).
Raid Bosses drop Divine Enchant Scrolls (such scrolls allow 100% safe enchanting).

Other:
Strider and Wyvern Renting is activated.
Item auctions are enabled.
You can use offline stores.
Custom Spoils of A and S-Grade 60% Recipes.
S-Grade 60% Recipes also available via server Self Quest.
Each character gets 21 MyTeleport slots automatically upon character creation.
No quests required for Class Changes and Subclasses.
You can have 3 Subclasses per 1 Character.
Maximum level for Subclasses is 85.

Exp-gain can be switched off and and on using: .xpoff / .xpon
Explanation: this is useful for example when you are spoiling certain materials, or you can use it for raids. Some people create special characters for raid bosses, so they can use these commands to control the experience gain.

Additional important information:
Dualboxing is allowed:
You can logg in with 3 characters, but only two of them are allowed to be outside the cities.
Dualboxing in Olympiad is of course not allowed.

Donation:
1 event golden apiga costs 50 cents. You can find and angel NPC in Giran, in front of the church, where you can trade the event golden apiga for the following:
a) giants codex mastery
b) 200 clan points
c) festival adena
d) items for noblesse quest (lunargent, hellfire oil)
e) mounts (steam beatle, purple maned horse, tawny maned lion, jet bike)

Three is no:
Stack-subclass.
GM shop.
NPC buffer (other than the usual Adventurer's Guides, that will give you a few basic buffs up to level 75)

You can buy D, and C grade Soulshots and Blessed Spiritshots in Giran's Grocery.
Learning skills does not require spellbooks.
