Hate to jump on the bandwagon, but I agree that the server has failed.

Admin claimed to have implemented an Anti-DDoS measure. If he has to pick apart IP's one-by-one in a botnet that could have hundreds if not thousands then that alone should be clue enough that he has no idea how to actually stop it even when he knows what it is. inb4 he blocks all the IP's and the DDoSer finds a new botnet.

Admin also claimed to have implemented an Anti-Bot measure. L2Tower still works on the server even at launch. Works right out of the box, you don't even need to modify anything. Setup and go.

Admin claimed lots of things, none of them seem to be very true. If he didn't really implement an anti-bot then what makes you so sure he actually implemented an anti-DDoS system? It's unlikely that he actually did. If this is just some generic botnet heap attack then there's no excuse for his anti-DDoS to not catch one of the most basic forms of DDoS around.

He may finally ban all of the IP's of the current botnet eventually, but this means that ANYONE that wants to DDoS this server CAN do so and can do so with such audacity that it will once again bring the server to it's knees.

That said, Gens has failed. It's unstable, unprotected, and you run the risk of your server being down for days whenever some 13 year old feels like making it happen and the Admin has not the slightest clue on how to fix it.

I looked forward to Gens, it was something to do until TheOnline, but I know when to fold my cards and I likely will not be returning to this server, you all would be wise to do the same.

til ppl make drama out of simple ddos attack and bump the topic with their wild theories this server will be alive

He wasn't lying about l2.theonline cose is coming out very soon and already has a live date announced, for most of people this server would be just a "run tru" phase to have fun until then. Anyway pity it is like this cose server would have future compared to other GF servers that were around.

Oh come on.. DDoS aint gonna stop Gens now, will it? I believe server still has future and there are lots of players willing to play it

I understand TheOnline thread at PMfun was deleted w/o any reason, but advertising TheOnline in Gens topic is just pathetic. If you need ppl to fight against ruskies, make a topic at Clans section.

I dunno why you blaming me for stating facts, i am 99% sure you gonna check that server aswell, i wasn't the one who mentioned that server 1 st was just stating that guy who said it has a point.
