Important Note 1 – Due to the new update from Gracia Part 1, Soul Breakers no longer need souls to do their skills. That’s right folks. You don’t need souls to do your skills. So what are the souls for then you might ask? Well if you do a skill and you have 5 Souls, you’ll do extra damage, a lot of extra damage at that folks. So it’s good to have a lot of souls when you’re out there because you do extra damage that stacks with your soul shots. Important Note 2 – Due to the update Hellbound, there are bottles you can buy in stores called Soul Bottles. These store 5 souls at the cost of 1 soul meaning it takes 6 souls for 1 bottle. Hope that little math problem didn’t confuse you too much. These Soul Bottles can be used to instantly give you 5 souls when you need them in tight situations. Taking the time out to stock up on these is very good idea and keeping them handy will do wonders in the long run. Important Note 3 – Soul Breakers use Rapier weapons. These are one-handed swords that you have changed thanks to the level 20 spell, Change Weapon. It is imperative that you as a Soul Breaker get yourself at LEAST a +4 over enchanted rapier. The reason is when a rapier is +4 or more, it gets a special party buff that activates when you do a critical attack. This party buff, Maximum Ability, increases the entire parties P.ATK, M.ATK and decreases MP Consumption (lowers the amount of MP (Magic Power) used when you are using skills) for a few short seconds. This skill is a god send and very useful as it activates VERY often and the party will be thrilled. Now that the important notes are done and over with, let us get to the actual skills and how important they are. I will not be doing the passive skills because there really isn’t any point. Light Armor, Magic Immunity, Rapier Mastery, these are all important and all passives should be gotten. No passive skills should be left behind. Death Mark The most important skill in a Soul Breakers arsenal, this skill lowers the target P.DEF and M.DEF. To add to punishment this skill also is a DOT (Damage over Time) skill much like the poison skill. Another thing that makes this skill so relentless is that the only way to remove it is for another Kamael to use Erase Mark on the inflicted. This means that it’s not going anywhere until the time duration is up. There is one more reason why this skill is important but you will have to wait and see. Life to Soul Another very good skill and important, it sacrifices your HP to give you souls. The reuse time is pretty decent, but not able to spam. The higher level you are, the more souls you can get till you get 5 at a time, which is perfect for your Soul Masteries skills so you can replenish how much souls you get. This skill is also useful for when you are creating soul bottles to store. Soul of Pain This skill is a single target dark element attack that does some pretty mediocre damage. It doesn’t suck, but it is only really useable for PVP. Since Soul Breakers cannot turn magic swords into rapiers (which I think is moronic) they really don’t have a SUPER high M.ATK, but still this skill is very useful for softening up targets before you get to them. The major aspect of this skill is the fact that it allows you to force someone to lose target. I’m not exactly sure on the land rate of the lose target but it’s only really useful in Group PVP for mass confusion. Against monsters with low M.DEF this skill also is very useful and can cause a monster to stutter for a few seconds. Surrender to the Unholy I stress this, this skill is wonderful. It lowers a targets resistance to dark attack and increases their resistance to holy attacks. The second part doesn’t really matter, but this skill makes your skills like Soul of Pain hurt more and allows the land rate of Death Mark increase. Like other Surrender spells, this is the opener for a Soul Breaker. Dark Blade This is a toggle skill that gives your attacks darkness property. It increases your damage slightly with your skills and regular attacks. It’s a free toggle that costs only 10 MP and doesn’t consume anymore. I always have this toggle on unless I’m fighting dark attribute monsters. When you cast Surrender to the Unholy on a monster, this skill increases your damage output even more and allows you do more physical and magical damage to the target who is surrendering. Triple Thrust This is one of your BEST single targeting melee attack skills. This is a very important skill that does major physical damage to a target. In higher levels, it can almost three times your normal melee damage and even do damage that resembles a critical attack. Very important skill and should be used very often to kill quickly. You can also Over-hit with this skill which makes it even more useful. Dark Armor This is another toggle much like Dark Blade. It increases your dark resistance at no cost but 10 MP. I rarely use this unless I’m in areas dealing with darkness type monsters or in PVP against darkness a type character, that’s its only real use. Soul to Empower Say hello to your personal Empower buff that has the ability to give you Empower up to level 2. This skill is a Soul Breakers great ally when you have no SE (Shilien Elder) lingering about. It allows you to have a higher M.ATK so that you are able to land your magical skills more often and do more damage with skills like Soul of Pain. Dark Flame I enjoy this skill too much. This is an AOE (Area of Effect) skill that hits numerous of monsters in front of you. The damage output is about the same as Soul of Pain, but the real kicker is that this skill can also cast the status alignment of Fear on whatever was hit with it. Fear is when the monster/player runs away from you uncontrollably leaving them as targets for your considerable barrage of attacks and unable to cast any skills or even choose the direction they are running to. Dark Flame is very useful skill for tight jams. Dark Weapon Think of this skill as Holy Weapons counterpart. It gives darkness attribute to anyone in the party for 20 points. That is pretty darn good for when you are fighting angel monsters in a party or for your own self when you want to dish out more damage in combat as well as after using Surrender to the Unholy. Soul Gathering Another useful skill, it consumes 10 Spirit Ore so that you can recharge all of your souls. It’s that simple. The reuse time is rather long, but worth it in a tight jam. Pride of the Kamael This skill is probably the most important buff you can ever get on a Soul Breaker. This skill increases a Kamaels P.ATK and M.ATK rather well. But the most important aspect is its ability to increase mortal blow land rate. Now you’re probably thinking, “What mortal blow skills?” Well that leads us to our next skill. Shining Edge This skill is by far going to be the most used skill in a Soul Breakers arsenal. I mean this highly in every aspect of the word. Shining Edge is a mortal blow skill that has a chance of doing enormous amounts of damage in one shot. It has a chance of missing of course, but when it lands, it lands hard. With Pride of the Kamael, it lands more often. Not only does it do considerable damage, it’s almost a spam skill. You can literally throw Shining Edge back to back with Triple Thrust to break out large amounts of damage, in which case you will be doing a lot as a Soul Breaker. Like all physical skills, this skill is an over-hit skill as well. Checkmate Every class has that one skill that is the keystone of the class. That makes that class one of the most dangerous classes to face. Checkmate is one, if not THEE ONE, for Soul Breakers. This skill is also the last reason why Death Mark is so important. When you land the skill Death Mark on a target, you are able to access Checkmate, the most powerful melee attack a Soul Breaker has. Checkmate is a melee attack that ALWAYS lands like a critical attack. No matter what, it will land and hit hard just like it was a critical attack, but that isn’t why this skill is so dangerous. This skill is dangerous because it also has the ability to critical hit as well. A critical hit that can critical hit is a monstrous combination. With my current build, my Soul Breaker is able to dish out anywhere from 1.5 to 5k damage on Light Armor and Robe type monsters/players. That’s without Bladedancer buffs and normal Prophet buffs. If I had a Bladedancer I can pump it to 7k damage if it the critical hit portion lands of Checkmate. When you land Death Mark, you literally will be able to use Checkmate, Triple Thrust and Shining Edge back to back none stop, crippling majority of your targets to sheer critical hit power. Spread Wing Me personally I say don’t bother with this skill. It does AOE damage behind you. Pretty weak skill but from what I hear it has interruption properties against dagger types, but I mean if a dagger is behind you the best solution is to turn the hell around ASAP. I personally say don’t waste SP on this skill but if you are a perfectionist, get it, but I doubt you’ll be using it. Shadow Bind Shadow Bind is a skill that basically casts root on a target. Very useful against Melee type opponents or people who like to run away when you’re giving them a severe pounding. Very useful skill indeed and will be used in lots of parties rather PVE or PVP. Steal Divinity Remember when I said there are skills that make classes’ ground breaking and blah blah, well Steal Divinity is another one of those skills. This is purely a PVP skill, doesn’t work on monsters, which literally steals the buffs off one person and gives them to you. Yes folks, that is exactly what I said. It steals their buffs. This skill works WONDERS as when it’s maxed out, you are able to steal the last 7 buffs of a target. Need I say more? Stealing 7 buffs on anyone, rather a nuker or a DD (Damage Dealer) can completely cripple their offensive capabilities. This skill is my best friend in party PVP. It can steal ANY buff folks except for Hero, Noblesse and Toggles. There was a time when I fought a Destroyer, got him down to Frenzy level. Soon as he Frenzied, I stole his frenzy and killed him with his own buff. I have fought Tyrants and stole their Bison only to use it against them for the kill. This is a wonderful skill and a MUST have. Annihilation Circle Your very first TRUE AOE skill, this is a dark attribute attack that hits the same power as a Soul of Pain. That’s all really. It’s a wonderful skill that can do considerable damage when applied right and can help out in AOE parties doing pretty decent. Painkiller This skill was given in Gracia and I admit it is a true meaning of “double edge sword.” For 8 seconds it makes the Soul Breaker invincible, much like Celestial Shield from a Bishop. The problem is that after those 8 seconds, the Soul Breaker Experiences 10 seconds of being hit for twice the damage as before. If you don’t do what you have to do in those 8 seconds, you might as well run for 10 seconds because you’ll get dominated against the weakest of attacks. Protections from Darkness Basic party buff to increase resistance to darkness attribute attacks. Higher levels it gives 30 to darkness protection which is useful for a lot of leveling spots and SOME PVP. Voice Bind Say hello to a magic casters worst nightmare. This buff casts silence on a target. Need I say more? Its land rate is incredible but its duration, not so much, but it’s long enough to dish out a butt kicking that’s for sure. Voice Bind at higher levels will be your best friend for PVP reasons when discussed in the PVP section. Blink This is a wonderful skill that acts like Warp. The only difference with this skill is that it warps you backwards and it gives an AOE stun effect for a few seconds. It’s great for tight jams when you have too many monsters on you or in PVP when you want to land a quick stun to retreat from battle or help your party to drop a pursuer. Very good skill and has saved me numerous of times. Curse of Life Flow This skill I rarely use. When it lands, it acts as VR (Vampiric Rage) only on that monster. The reuse time isn’t so great but it does help get me out of a jam against monsters when my HP is low. I’m pretty sure it is able to be used in PVP but you probably won’t be using it as you have an array of other skills to unload. Soul Web This is a handy little skill that you get in the higher levels. It allows you to do an AOE slow on targets. It’s useful in massive PVP to prevent them from able to out run you and your party. Also it’s very useful when you need to flee from monsters or other players. I use it once in a while for those situations. Soul Cleanse This skill has saved me in more than one situation. It removes ALL debuffs from you or another Kamael. It has a slow reuse time but it’s wonderful for PVP against classes that like to throw lots of debuffs. Life saver in every aspect as in PVP I have been hit with slow from people, pop in Soul Cleanse and then continue to run (Basically cause Kamaels are the fastest runners in game, Females being the fastest ^^) Curse of Divinity This is a pretty decent skill used only for PVP purposes. It can be used on monsters but it’s too weak. You won’t get the full effect unless you use it in PVP because it deals more damage depending on how many buffs a character has. More buffs, more damage you do. The damage isn’t OMG Super, but it’s enough to get the message across that they shouldn’t have over buffed inside of town before they came to mess with you. Soul Strike Powerful nuke spell that you learn when you become a Soul Hound, its damage output is up there from Soul of Pain and the others. It’s great damage and reuse time is a back to back for range situations before you get up close. Soul Vortex The epsilon of spells for a Soul Hound, this is one of those spells that defines what a Soul Breakers true purpose is. When it hits, it hits hard, and lands effects that instantly decreases speed of enemy, attack speed, casting speed and their MP is continuously decreased when carrying out non-elemental attacks. This spell is nukers worst nightmare as well as DD’s as it’s a significant decrease in their ability to fight back, along with the other skills you learn as a Soul Breaker. Leopold Your strongest single nuke skill that you learn as a Soul Hound, it doesn’t land any cool debuffs like Soul Vortex but it hits like a brick house. It is useable with Soul Strike and Soul of Pain to cause a considerable long distance barrage. Soul Vortex Extinction When you land a Soul Vortex and that person gets the debuff, this is the skill that comes after it. It eliminates that debuff as well as causes the highest output of magical damage from a Soul Hound. Sadly you get it at level 79 but that’s okay as there’s a reason why it’s there. This skill will literally make people shake from the amount of damage it’s able to commit to. Final Form The transformation of all Kamaels, this skill turns the Kamael into a two winged powerhouse of damage for 5 minutes. In 5 minutes you’re able to hit enemies so hard that you can probably eliminate most classes in 2 minutes. A friend of mines has this skill and he told me his P.ATK was well over 4k. Enough said folks. Lightning Barrier This is a wonderful skill that puts up a shield around you that makes any monster or player that attacks you able to be paralyzed for a bit. Paralyzed enemies mean easy targets last time I checked. Lightning Shock Lightning Shock is the last skill a Soul Hound gets in their arsenal. At level 81, you are able to do a Shilien Knights Lightning Strike, but AOE. It’s the aggressive attack version of Lightning Barrier that means its double trouble. AOE paralyze is the stuff dreams are made of. |

Versus Paladin/Phoenix Knight Don’t bother. Tank classes hurt us. They are high in P.DEF and heavy armor masteries dampen our critical power. That is a pain in the tushy. If you are forced in a situation to fight a Paladin, first thing you have to do is throw Death Mark. If it lands, you can spam Checkmate and other skills, but with the use of their shield stun, it will be annoying as hell. If you can run, do so and leave them for someone else. Versus Dark Avenger/Hell Knight Don’t bother, just like Paladins they are a run while you can. If forced, do as stated above, only difference, kill the panther first. But you should avoid this fight any means possible. Versus Treasure Hunter/Adventurer Dagger classes are dangerous thanks to their mortal blow skills, and with the skill bluff going around, this can be annoying. As well, switch and trick can make you lose target and again cause issues. Best way to deal with them is of course the Death Mark then Checkmate/Shining Edge spam till they die. With their light armor, they can go down rather fast with a few Checkmates long as you don’t show them your backs. Versus Hawkeye/Sagittarius Archer classes are something that should be avoided, but they aren’t invincible. You first want to plant them or disable their speed, so cast Shadow Bind and if that doesn’t land Soul Web to slow them down. Next you want to jump in on Death Mark and get in close to kill them. They cannot take many hits before they go down. Painkiller is a nice skill to use here but if you miss the timing on it, you can put yourself in harm’s way. Another skill that is very useful is Warp. Use Warp to get right in their face. Lot of times it puts you in a situation where the Hawkeye will get shocked with the “Wow look what he did”. Steal Divinity takes out their personal buffs most of the time and this can hamper their win against you. Versus Sorcerer/Archmage Magic classes should fear Soul Breaker. Throw Voice Bind to silence them. If that doesn’t land, throw Steal Divinity to take their buffs, Death Mark then spam away. Takes only a few hits to kill these annoying magic users and if they throw debuffs on you, Soul Cleanse, and then resume the attack. Versus Necromancer/Soultaker This magic class is slightly different. For starters they have a pet, and that pet can give them more HP thanks to Transfer Pain skill. What’s worse, they have Gloom which lowers your M.DEF, and they have Anchor which can paralyze you. Did I mention they also have Cursed Death Link, Fear and Silence? Necromancers are a whole new league of magic user that will be difficult to kill. First you want to throw a Silence. Pray that it lands. If it lands, you win the match, no matter what summon they have. If it doesn’t land, be afraid. You want to use your Dark Armor and Protection from Darkness buff to give you dark resistance. You also want to try and land Surrender to the Unholy and then Death Mark. IF you can get Death Mark off, you spam away. Be sure to use Soul Cleanse as I’m sure you’ll have a buffet of debuffs on you. Don’t focus on the summon, focus on the Necromancer, that’s where the real damage is coming from. Versus Bladedancer/Spectral Dancer These aren’t hard. Since you can Steal Divinity their Dances that makes them basically weak and thus easy. Stealing their Dances mean you have Dance of Fire, Vampire, Warrior and Fury, which are dances you’ll be enjoying ever so much. They are same as Swordsingers but more limited. Enjoy this easy kill with Death Mark Spam. If you can land a Voice Bind, they cannot use Hex. Versus Destroyer/Titan Okay so here’s the thing. Destroyers hit like battleships. The tactic with these guys is to get the Death Mark Spam going on and then as soon as you see them hit Frenzy/Guts, you use Steal Divinity. You’ll steal their Frenzy and then just kick their tails in. Fighting a Destroyer is not impossible, it’s about timing. Timing your Painkiller will also be useful in this match. Versus Berserker/Doombringer These guys are annoying. They hit harder than Destroyers, are faster than them and can stun you. They can also Disarm you which are super annoying. If you can get the Death Mark spam, do it. Also Shadow Bind prevents a lot of attacks, but you still have to get up close for Crushing Pain and Contagion skills. Be careful. If it looks hairy, throw a Shadow Bind and run for the hills. Versus Arbalester/Trickster – Annoying should be avoided at all cost. They have Real Target which is like surrender to arrows. If that’s not bad enough they can probably 3 shot you and call it a day. Very evil ranged class and treating them like the other 3 archers would be bad karma on you. Best to avoid them any means necessary. |

And..........your wrong about him......... necro really is not the one where damage comes from. Hes a debuffer mainly. Not a DD. |
