Ye sry to make "yet another OL thread", i've already read all but i still got some stuff to ask .
I play on l2paradise 250x, where pretty much all skills work almost like retail (they're still working on some 75+ skills), and the thing is i already played an OL and WC on l2dex a loooong time ago (wc=70/ol 69) so i want to try my 1st love (ol) here on this server.
My problem is that in oly i will be facing some bad-ass heroes and donators that have +++rb jewels (zakken's/valakas/core/baium/etc.) and i'm talking about jewels with at least +11. I didn't get a chance to actually drain/try debuffs on any of these guys but considering i never faced someone back on dex with rb jewels with +11 minimum i can't say how efficient this class will be. Also i don't want to waste my time trying to level/gear/oe my stuff for nothing. Since i'm not going to be a donator i can only hope to have S80 dynasty robe +6 or maybe +7(depends on luck xD) and arcana mace+ acu +7/8.
Yes i know OL is a bad-ass when it comes down to self buffed pvp but i'm still having my doubts about if i am gonna ever land a debuff on a +11 rb jewels char.
Saw a necro with a +6 arcana mace +acu and dynasty robes doing 200 damage/drain to a pw with +10 jewels :/.

So here comes the question :

Is there any calculation method to see how much dmg i will do with a given MATK vs a char with a given MDEF ? because i can easily calculate how much mdef a char will have with +11 rb jewels .

Btw server has buffer in Oly so u can buff yourself with 5 buffs only at your choosing, if that helps in any way . TY

About if u`ll kill a char with +11> jewels with OL - No u wont. PW wont be your problem but glads,tyrants other mages with the 5 buffs OLY system, your main weapon ( self buff advantage ) is gone, so yea u have you VoP... anyway wont help u alot + WCs will rape u prety much even with normal gear

I don't know if there's an exact formula. I just know how to calculate the land rate of debuffs.
Success rate of the curse times matk divided by mdef times the lvl status curse-target times the protection reduction (passive, buff or racial). The lvl status means that a lvl 40 necro debuffs a lvl 1 char with a high success rate, but debuffs a lvl 80 char with a lower success rate.

Example: 0.5 base land rate, 1000 caster matk, 1000 target mdef. The success rate is still 0.5. But if we take a 0.5 base land rate, a 1000 caster matk with only 500 target mdef, there's a 0.75 land rate. Or we can take a 0.5 base land, a 1000 caster matk and 1000 target mdef, but a debuff resistance passive that gets 0.5 resistance. The land rate will be 0.25.

So it should be something similar for the damage too, but the char level only matters for full or half resistance.

I decided it's better if i switch servers because i arranged a self buffed duel with a PW with +13 rb jewels and my drains were doing 360-380 dmg per cast and landing rate of debuffs was about 1/9 so.... yes, it sux xD. I don't even want to know what a da or pally would have done to me considering they have more mdef then a pw . Guess they could have shot me down using only the panther or a bow lol. Only problem now is finding a server where i can play an OL and skill>donator oe jewels :/ .
