the guy above me is wrong, its not a box char, its fun to play, plus if you dont have too much time to focus on your char every second when you and your party is grinding, its the perfect char for you! For example if you are working or doing some other stuff on your pc, you just have to push every 5mins a button.

on the other hand, your sleep and dots are powerfull, making farm easier and less riskier.
at dyes you should focus on survivability and casting speed, -4men and +4wit (not that much mdef lowering) ; -8 str +4dex/+4con

armory & weaponry: usuall mage equipment, like karmian>avadon>dc/mj (depends what you want more, c.speed or mana and resist) usually dc's buy dc robe because the common thing, it can be used on sub mages also. homunkulus is ok till you get arcana mace or above.

sub classes: never played wc in gf+ but I would recommend taking tank ultimate, or spirit from summoners, but Im affraid that you would overrun your buffs. on the otherhand you can click down some unneccesary buffs what you dont really need, f.e.: focus and dw.

tactic: never go on your own, you are an assist. pick a dd sub if you want to play dvp style.
party vs party, stay behind, heal if it is needed, help your bishop not to heal to much times, but protect your mana too, it looks much but you can run out of it fast. never forget to buff cov or magnus!
talk with the bd and sws to dance/song concentration and renewal before you hit cov/magnus.
if there is non dancer/songers in the party you can use magnus>cov so the reuse of cov will be shorter.
dont forget, you are not a tank! stay behind and sleep the non factors in the pvp.

misc: never forget to gather tons of spirit ores and atleast 200 summon cry. that is a must above lvl79.

a high lvl WC is really helpful to a party if he is active due to "Great Fury" which gives the whole party +50% atk speed (?) for 8 seconds, and to trigger it he has to use burning chop

WC is mostly a box char, but if u are pvping u need an active one for burning chop / rebuffing from when soulhounds steal buffs / someone get canceled / baned etc
