A free tip - alternative PVP armor is BW light ( good vs mages + ogre totem ) But again i advise u just grind for now for PVE i use BW heavy set + 5str -5dex. Other tips ... Use skills they make your dmg. Ask for smth more specific if u are interested. |

IMO get yourself PL set and skip B grade... But in B grade you should get yourself BW heavy for PvP/PvE. I wouldn't lower your STR as it lowers your dmg/skill crit change, go for +5 STR, -5 DEX for PvP (I would also go for +4 CON, -4 DEX) as it doesn't rly have much effect for you... |

Geez.....heavy set on TY?.......why the hack do u think tyrants have light armor mastery As for a tip in PVP.......STUN rocks.....and it has a very big chance of succes on ''lighties'' and mages. Overall TY is a good char but it can be a biatch if u don't learn 2 play with it!!! |

LA masteries only give you p.def & Agile Movement... Accuracy is useless and the speed can be compensated with Wabbit/Wolf. Yeah, Tyrant has low DEX but that's exactly why you are able to reduce it without it having much of a effect, if you lower CON/STR on a Tyrant it will have much more bigger effect... I would also recommend using L2Calc to see the differences in dye setups... Tyrant in IC/ogre ftw... |

make a test put tallum heavy and +5str +4 con -9dex on a tyrant and other can choose any other combination he wants you will never loose tyrant doesn't need tactics vs mages at 1:1 they all die real enemies of the tyrant are daggers and archers |

Yeah......use Rabbit Totem in pvp......u're smart!!!When u lower DEX u don't decrease only attack speed but your Speed and Evasion decrease too!U can defeat enemies from distance too......not only in Close range (ex: Cripple /Force Blaster /Force Blaster /Force Blaster........u got the point).Oh i was about to forget. When u decrease dex u decrease Crit chance too and without crits in Heavy armor TY sucks.Even if the HArmor gives it a lil more P.Def and the +CON dye gives it a lil more life it does not compensate the lowered atk speed/speed/crit chance. And btw.....when using H Armor u're a sitting duck for archers and at high lvl u're dead meat for sure (Hamstring/Freezing Strike/Slow).......this way your +CON will not count at all. Bottom line....from my point of view, HEAVY ARMOR IS NOT FOR TYRANTS! P.S.:But every1 is free to play in his own style and driven by his own ideeas! Cheers |

first lvl up, you suck until lvl 70+ after that get your self the best bow you can afford, now if you want to make some tests without spending adenas go here and check stats with different armors/weapons/SA`s -----> http://l2calc.l2blah.com/ btw the heavy armor option like tallum should be considered, many tyrants go heavy these days with so many archers around... |

As for a tip in PVP.......STUN rocks.....and it has a very big chance of succes on ''lighties'' and mages. Overall TY is a good char but it can be a biatch if u don't learn 2 play with it!!! Because the tyrant can sacrifice speed and go for high pdef. For example vs a gladiator what would you use? I'll tell ya, not light. You can wear light, but in this case you MUST focus on your range nukes, because they're much better than those of a glad. Heavy armor is the best for pve because you have no use for speed, and tyrant's evasion isn't that high, so he should go for pdef. |

Cheers Now u can go use a calculator and tell us how much crit chance, accurassy, speed, evasion does the heavy armor decrease. And how much HP and p.def does the H.armor increase. BTW in light armor u must always use puma to rise some evasion - cause of the low p.def. With heavy armor i use ogre and thats for pvp ( somethimes for PVE too when i`m dying ) skill crit rate no1 know what affects it so empty argument ( no its not the STR ) about the crit rate with heavy+HP weapon u use BISON at 4000 HP with light + focus u use BISON at 2000 HP ( 1-2 skill from the opponent max and u die ) True archers have slow ( btw hamsting is a DA skill not archer ) but u have criple so ... |

" Hamstring Shot (1) Active Inflicts damage to a targeted enemy and slows the enemy’s speed at the same time. Critical attack is possible. Available when one is equipped with a bow. Power 1973. Effect 3." Oh yes it's an archer skill. OnT: Depending on Pvp or Pve i prefer using Tallum heavy, because of the atk spd addition and the +str. I basicly switch between Bear on first strike and then either bison or puma for close combat. When wielding a bow i prefer to use puma on high rate servers. Because of the Tyrants' skills it's very important to have a steady flow of mana regeneration. So either BW light or Doom light is awesome if you use your skills a lot which you should. Especially Force blaster, use it and the reload your force to max (basicly force blaster and then focused force) so it'll do the maximum damage each time. Using hurricane ain't that good in Pve, it takes a lot of MP and isn't that much stronger then force blaster. AND it uses two charges instead of 1. Bear totem, force blaster, focused force, puma totem, attack. [/quote] |

@Icarus: Oke maybe i forgot to mention that i was talking about pvp not pve.In PVE u're free to use HArmor....it really does u good against mobs! And agains a Glad, no matter what heavy arnor u wear it doesn't worth it because the Glad has way more P Def than A TY in Heavy because of the heavy armor passive skill + the Glad has Battle Roar.Oh and i don't know about you but on all servers i played (retail, java) the Glads had an enormous crit rate at skills, mostly at the close range skills. That's why i prefer light equip, so i can range a glad.....Glad's ranged attacks are weaker than the ones of the TY.With Heavy armor i can imagine a TY pwn-ing a glad only with a Bow (BOP/CARNAGE) +Puma+Fist Fury, ranging the Glad 'till death @PaaGRIO :U're right....i can use a calculator that can give me some numbers but i don't relly on theory......i prefer the practice to teach me something (When boxing a TY in pvp it's all about speed and much dmg inflicted in a short period of time).Btw with a -4 CON+4 DEX i won't be forced to use Puma but i,ll use it anyways for more Evasion,Crits and Attack Speed. When my hp lowers be sure i'll Ogre myself.....about Bison i don't really use it to much........but how i said above, everybody has it's own playstyle. And on weapon i use Health not Focus....this way i stop the -4 CON dye from becoming a burden (With Health on weapon i gain much more HP than i lose by lowering CON with 4).Oh and BTW Hamstring it's an archer skill too :Hamstring Shot (i thought u'll figure out what i wanted 2 say when i wrote HAMSTRING)......and with a TY archers are my last concern, or better said not a problem at all! |

TY can own a gladiator in heavy. Glads have high skill crit rate, but the TY has similar skill crit rate. Well think that light vs a dagger is suicide. And come on, glad's battle roar is just lvl 1... Btw unbuffed, glad's pdef is 1060, while a tyrant has 981. That is not a valid difference, considering that the tyrant has superior hp/cp and his range attacks are anyday better than glad's range attacks. AND the atk speed of the tyrant is something huge. |
