You cant unsummon it, I'm not sure about the ss.
Still, betray cast is pretty fast, the delay is low and the chance is very high especially vs necro summons(panther, golem too)

You guys showed that you don't know what will happen in a real fight. Yes you just unsummon it.. Right.. YOU CAN'T!
Do you know why they lowered the pet's dmg in PvP? Because summoners were too strong! And if you play on L2 Light where you have 5 rows of buffs, yeah, summoner sucks..
But if you play normal server with only CH buffs and maybe sometimes songs n dances which is really rare and then it means its not even 1v1 anymore..
Warlock will use just 2 skills - Betray and Arcane Disruption (no mage bane as I understood its 70+, next thing he will heal his cat you probably hitted him once or twice.. and now you have lowered cast and ur pet hitting.. why dont u get it?! It's the best for you not to use ur summon! Relay on nukes and curses, thats it!

Well...in this case if you go out and you know you'll encounter cat master, it's better to go without servitor. But most in cases, you don't know what you'll meet, so you gotta use a servitor. The point is how to use it and don't get owned by yourself.

This makes the skill useless..
And yes, there is a slight chance that the summoner wont use betray but I'm sure he will, especially on a low rate server where it's a valuable skill

i dont know if this is offie rule (i play private) but when betrayed u cannt unsummon servitor..and guess what .. IT MAKES SENSE!

@ruud:how can i translate BETRAY in your language?! :D oh i know: brutus betrayed nero but he was unsummoned just when he raised a dagger rofl

(still waiting for offie answer though)

Ephialtes betrayed the 300 Spartans at the Thermopyles fight vs the Persians.

ok, let me clarify some things for u. When u betray, the servitor gains his own will. This means A NEW SERVITOR IS SUMMONED, AND IT DOESNT BELONG TO ANYONE. The new servitor will attack the previous master, without soul/spiritshots. After the betray effect goes off, that servitor disappears and a new one, now belonging to the right player, appears.

as u see, when u betray a summon, u just dont turn it against ur enemy, u turn it into a mob, uncontrolable. U will see this better in a movie, but I cant find any oly/1v1 pvps with summoners

lol guys, when u betray pet it just hits his master for 2-3 secs.
It can't be unsummoned during combat. In C4 summon could unsummoned
during combat. And when u know u're gonna face summoner 1 vs 1, just
leave your summon some way behind so u can have TP and he won't betray
it cuz if he goes to do so, his pet will be dead already.

And really, land rate ain't all that good lol While AD has 90% land rate imo :p

yup i agree with mario!just leave it a bit behind u so u have tp
but u dont always know when the pvp gona happen.. u cant be prepared all the time no matter how fast u r..the game is not like->i want to farm and i go farm and no player dares to attack me!(some use the summons in pve)
--> i go pvp and i know all the classes that are gona come on my way so 2 secs after the summoner comes behind the wall i unsummon my summ!
no way to do that
if u go pvp u go with ur summon and rarely w/o dances if u rly wanna pvp
and thats not 1v1 anymore

yeah sure ...you can not unsummon it if get betrayed only remove ss so i left the summon behind and used transfer pain..until summoner go there and use betray the cat will be dead for sure...but...he used cubik..he anchor me 2 times...i couldnt do nothing...this anchor land most than necro's anchor..? or i am unlucky? ;/ my m attack with som acumen +2 is about 1550 m attack with empo lvl 3 only and without berz....especially if find a dancer and take berz...m attack is about 2100 or more...ah and these pvps are on xp time...and not full buffed...just clan hall buffs...and its gracia...m critcals are very often..i dont know i only hate this anchor of cubik... ;/

DC Robe set + Magic Barier should be enough to resist it in 70% of cases.
razveck - even better for me. If that creature doesn't belong to anyone, you can cast him one of the long list debuffs, to keep him away for the betray duration - fear/anchor/slow or even weakness. If this is impossible too, there's no sense in all.

D00daz,I want to ask u something.
For wich summoner are we talking about? If we are talking about PS no mage can kill him...I've tried the ps on low rates and btw his BeSt oF teh rest in farmin and pvping vs mages(if u have basic buffs ofc :) )
