I agree with all of you but partially:

1. Ol seals has very low land rate, and most othere classes 76+ has naturall passives against sleep/root. Anyway on olympiad every experienced player uses staffs with btb and mental shield. So i wouldn't advice using sleep or sel of binding, it will land 1 on 10 times and mp for drains/CP restore is more important. The only seals I use are suspension (against daggers) and winter and against specific opponents sometimes seal of gloom (an of coze dispair but only in mpvp)

2. DC robe is no doubt the best robe to pvp for OL. But it has one big disadvantage. It's very easy to interrupt the spell. So you must be very vigilant while using drains

3. Dyes: +4CON - 4STR, +4DEX -4STR, +4WIT-4MEN. With DC robe this dyes gives equilibrity between casting speed, mdef, MP regen, stun landing.

PVP strategy:
-general- the easiest way to defeat OL in DC robe is to interrupt his magic. For example a smart glad will just turn on normall attack and with high probalility he will interrupt 100% of spells (OL is too slow to hit and run) and win in the end. Lucky for us there is very few of smart glads/daggers. So OL must lern to use drains between hits of the oponent. For example against SH i use drain just after his spell reaches me. This way even if he interrupts 4-5 drains, thanks to my high mdef I kill him with full HP.

-summoners/necro- the easiest way is to fear the summon xD. Transfer pain doesn't work when the summon is too far. And summoner/necro without TP is a 4-drain corpse. Of coze if somehow course of doom lands you are over ;).

-sps/sorc- high cast and aura flare is a pain in the ass. So use seal of suspension whenever he gets close to you. Than drains. It is usefull to have macro for targetting and stunning the opponent if he gets close.

-othere OL- seal of gloom in the firs row and you MUST be in a "walk" mode (mp regen is a bit higher than). Than drains and CP regen for sometime.

-PP- the toughest one. I really have no strategy for pp. After mana burn I have no MP for drains. Maby having heavy armor and dagger wil I have some chances but I think that PP will heal himself quickly enough and after rooting me just finish with the bow.

-dagger- also though one and you must have a reallu good skill in using OL to beat daggers (f***** lethals). If he has mental shield and Draco forget about using sleep/fear/root/stun. Soul guard and just drains. But you MUST have following macro:
/target "nick of the opponent"
/userskill life drain
I use this macro just to turn over my OL front to the dagger after his trick. After trick he wil always use backstab or lethal. If it lands in the back you are over. Thanks to this macro I am always front to him and the dmg is no higher than 300-400. If the dagger doesn't have mental shield sleeping/rooting is of course good tactics. Seal of suspension will also help a lot if it lands.

-archers- soul guard, drain between his shots

-destro, tyrant- rooting and sleeping is a bad idea couse they have passives and toggles against that. In general they are no threat untill zealot. So you must be sure they wont have a chance to turn it on. So I start with seal of gloom few drains (running all the time of course)and gloom again, (by now with toggles on and using only skills they have no MP, it is easy to notice that moment when they stop using skills) than quick finish with drains.

-tanks/dwarfs- remember not to use seals coze they have a skill to reflect it. Drains in general.

These are my general tactics. Of course every player/opponent plays differently has different equipment. Sometimes stun is a bad idea (just lost of time and mp) in othere situation it is the first thing to do. So a good ol must know very well othere classes, skills, armors to improvise the tactics while fighting.

u can not use WIT+4 MEN-4, because he is not a pure mage. I mean he is assistant healer so u can not use this dye. Overlords are a pretty strong class. BTW i have a question, when u are at olympiad and the enemie is a part of the ally, he will get your buffs when u cast them?

He can't use INT.

well well...I mostly am talking about olympiads...this is where i can fond a self buffed abyss walker.

and tell me something.how many drains is a AW self buffed against an OL self buffed?

Both full buffed,if the AW doesn't hit a lethal strike,he has no chance to win. Even then, the OL can keep it's cp more than 50% full by using his 2 skills. You know, it seems we have some knowledge on OL's.
But you have played c3 and c5. i have played c4 and interlude most.that's it

Backstab directly attacks your hp, not your cp, so Abyss Walker can kill you with 100% cp :D

OL is not unbeatable ^^

another tip:
when playing an OL in mas pvp especially, remember that u are hell of a SUPPORTER not just a DD. so u can set ur equip as such. i play an OL for abuot 2 years to.. and i know it's better if i stay aside and support the real, pure DDs in my clan. OL has good dmg, but his suporting capabilities are much more better.
I consider better for an OL mj robe set and 2 wepons: one with MANA UP (or better conversion) and one with acumen.

WHY MJ SET? well, most mass pvp include archers, nd stunning shot is a pain, and a little boost in mana is always welcome ( set bonus +240 mp, and belive me, i lost lots of battles just for 50 mp). stay in the middle of the crowd, and when u spot a melee class aproaching just sleep or root him ( or slow/chaos/winter). ur bread and butter are ur CP restore and that heal can really do wonders. USE drain only 2-4 times when u know ur target is almost dead, weakend by ur team mates. and for buffs, ALWAYS TRY TO GET CLARITY!!! i would chose it in front of empower or even dances. in fact, i preffer a sws reather than a bd in party.

whit this setup i'm always welcome in parties made by clan. and my favorites are cata parties or in imperial tomb were i can winter/binding/chaos an entire room.

lemme tell u sth

OL does not have infinite mp
OL's drain is weak & hell expensive
OL's debuffs have low land rate + cost crapload of MP too
Your enemies are not just watching you casting/dealing damage
AW does the damage. Heard of hex? heard of bluff? heard of focus death? heard of trick things? heard about blinding blow? (2nd bluff) heard about confusion? (2nd trick)
