OK I have whatched this thread for a wee while now and it has been realy funny sometimes ^^

fact :- very few games if any use x2 core never mind x4 ^^

I use a x4 cpu for other things

in performance of L II there is a few things to take in to concederatin

Windoze type (xp/vista) dont even thing of the Linux with WINE combo
your isp
the time of day
the server
no of ppl on server

so its easy guys

WHAT do REALY do with your computer
play games ?
audio/vid suff ?

OS has a big issue here but for me I use XP 32
but for my own reasons even I have 4 gig of ram
and PLEASE dont sart that Vista shit
That is why Im on the Windows 7 project
a lot clener OS at least Micro$oft have listened to the plebs for a change ^^

and btw I got T shirts older than you guys if you what to spam this shit

@Sweevo: that's precisely what I said. Today's games barely use two cores, 4 cores is pointless except background performance. Or for example you can do what I was doing back in c4. Dual box and assign one core for each process.

i got E7300 2.66 ghz but now it's near 3.1 ghz and temp with full usage - nearly 36 and for me it will be good cpu for few years ( quads sux)

My computer is almost 2 years now. And it still runs undercover at full detail with around 20 fps. The only Thing I changed was the video card and the RAM. The E6320 cpu is very good overclocked from 1.86 to 2.8. I'm gonna trade the 4 modules of RAM on one module of 4 GB and I'm gonna up the CPU to 3.6 GHz. I can't wait to find a trader.

there are system files of VISTA that get copied to the XP files and tadam u have something of the sort of 8 gb ram working on good old XP BUT u have a penalty:Dsystem loading takes 1-2 minutes longer:D
btw the same dude told me that there is new windows edition
WINDOWS 7
and it works PERFECTLY even better than vista and in his opinion its better than XP


I have 2,77x2 Ghz with 2 GB RAM and dualbox with full details on Wrath working perfectly :D
