im 18 years old,but i only had computer since 2004 so my best shooter ever played was in fact my first shooter ever played untill then -->
Red Faction,the first part,i adore this game,it has a nice 3D engine called Geo Mode(u can make tunnels in martian mines using rockets or explosives ).
But,not related to this topic,my favourite game ever played is Star Wars:Jedi Knight:Jedi Academy,i finished it for 38 times(18 light side/20 dark side) .
Since Red Faction,i played a lot of FPS's such as:DOOM 3,Half Life 2,Callof Duty 1-2,Medal of Honor.Return to Castle Wolfenstein,Prey etc
But none of them had the filling of the first one played.

Call of duty serials and Medal Of Honor

Call of Duty is the first shooter i played and I loved it (dunno just love it) after the first part I loved his all parts.
And Medal of Honor I adore how they made a mission at Normandy

And ofc CS because of nice multiplayer

Best shooter for me was quake 3... I played that game continuously for almost 5 years. Unreal was a GREAT shooter but I didn't play it much because quake attracted me like a magnet.

I owe a great deal to quake 3 because you see... I don't play CS at all. But I'm very good at CS. The first time I've actually played it in the 5th grade they wanted to own me. I knew the assault map and the buy menu. It was pure ownage. Me and another guy vs another 3.
In quake 3 I remember that I would play on official accepted servers and I was really good. I remember that when someone kept owning me, thing that means he's good, I would ask for his ID to play at other times. I made a lot of quake friends that way. One day we organised a team vs team slaughter. It was great, I won't forget it. My only regret is that I was too stupid to enter quake PGL, I was really good.


That being said, I owe my whole FPS experience to quake 3.

Quake 3 is awsome,pure slaughter,i play it somethimes,but single player .
Try Enemy Teritory:Quake Wars,it's Quake 4,but multiplayer,if you are a big Quake fan then you would like it,i saw it at a friend,but didn't test it,for me it seemed nice.

at last a brother in arms!i love UT too!the oldest version.. like ut 1 or some kind of patch!dude i used to spend 5+ houts pwning the bots @ deatmatch
and in the end i was able to reach score of 30\0 without problems:D
that game was great!the oldies=ut
and the new games cod2=winner imo

Absolutely!!!!!Although there are lots of other good shooters like:Quake,Call of Duty,Serious Sam,CS,Return to castle Wolfenstein,Half life,Unreal.Still Doom remains the best.

im not shocked for that but .. man its the firt game of it type , i rmember when the game started to sell everybody gone mad about that game , it is the first game of its type , without doom now crysis , ut3 , and such other games wouldnt exist , the gameplay is nearly the same only the graphics changed .. btw i understand that some on this forum are too young to know that game

Agree!I remember those times-the good old 90s when Doom was launched.Everyone(including me)was mad at this game.This game can clearly be considered to have changed the world of video games completely.
