btw there are different phpbb2 forum skins with the search button next to the "create new topic" button. So the admin can implent one of those.

C'mon ppl, there's no need of making the search button bigger.

When somebody registers, after that when she/he enters the forum, she/he will be automatically referred to the search page:D
Or even better to separate the "new topic" page to a search page and under it a message like:"I fricking searched the whole forum for topics that I'm willing to make, but there's none" that leads to the new topic page:P
