Nix Herlitz. Salt wound. Shhhhhhh.

What  Just checking. Everyone likes a nice phoenix story. I remember this one server from recent years, which struggled for a long time (couldn't get to even 50 online) but then, through perseverance, managed to get to like 2000 online eventually. Can't remember the name, but yeah it happens sometimes

Oh well. I remember him saying he's keeping up the server up anyway, so doesn't need to stay at 0, some people may stumble in, maybe bring some friends... But yeah, not very likely :?

dont waste your time for low rates - create a mid rate server x15-x30 rates

Yeah, x15–x30 might attract more people, but we’re aiming for slower progression. x5 is intentional. Appreciate the feedback. :D

thats fine - most people need to fail 3-4 times before they understand their mistakes - you will get there or run out of money and spare time to throw in the wind :)

Yeah maybe. Also maybe this is our new tunel Herlitz-inkblot!!!/bump

Guys????? /bump

I was waiting for another day to not double bump a day but whatever  Ahh GoDs3nD he never fails to deliver some kind words  He has a point though, people are much more likely to join a midrate if the project isn't super known. But then again I do remember a server from not far ago (not going to mention here to not advertise) which started with sub-50 online and made it to I think over 1500 just by working hard on it, so nothing is impossible really! /bump

ahhh if only there was someone to give some good honest advice... imagine what couldve been...

I mean, the advice itself is fair, I'm just thinking the delivery could be a little more gentle  And it's not like starting a new lowrate is impossible, it's just much more difficult. Just take a look at ElmoreLab (topic here) - 2 days after launch they had under 50 online, 2 years later it was in thousands and they kept posting those massive CS vids and such. So while maybe some people need to fail 3-4 times to give up, other people need to fail 6 times to succeed on the 7th

Running a good server is not just about good coding and hard work. I believe that its also about luck and who you know.

I am sure that emberfall did their best, but whatever they did is not working. So how can he improve, so that he gains more users?

The problem also is all these fly by night rug pullers. its hard to keep playing on a server that could vanish in a blink. Trust takes time.

I hope emberfall gets lucky and finds the right combo to at least get 2k of users.
