inkblot the coward vs Herlitz the destroyer Live Wednesday at the Arena outside Giran. Free Ale, 2 Adena per person. No Mounts please.


Ha! Though for 2 Adena tickets, I imagine that free ale is probably made from wheat and hops grown in the Execution Grounds :P /bump


It was a glorious battle fellow Lineage players. There was a crowd of over 200 at the Giran arena.

The battle started at 1400. Bets where placed and the fight began. Gm Bob was there to make sure it was a fair fight.

3 Minutes later inkblot was dead in the middle. Herlitz with a successful hammer Stun that caught inkblot unawares, Herlitz finished him off with a Shield Stun and just to be showy pulled out his bow and killed inkblot from the far corner.

The crowd went silent and then erupted into a large cheer that could be heard all the way to the centre of Giran town. Herlitz, Herlitz, Herlitz.

The crowd went wild. While inkblots blood soaked corpse was removed from the battlefield all bets were settled.

Congratulations to Herlitz //bump :mrgreen:


Oh by the way, I talked to some of the folks who were at the arena that night, and it would appear our memories of the event were, say, a little less based on reality than we think. Now while true that the battle was supposed to start at 2 PM and that around 200 people gathered, the problem was that apparently we both got blind drunk on the free ale before the match even started. After we managed to somehow stumble into the arena, since I forgot to change my subclass and was on my Elven Elder main with only my Elven Mithril set on with no weapon in hand, I did make a valiant effort to buff and heal myself before the match, but as I was trying to remember how to cast a Wind Strike I accidentally casted a Return instead and obviously never found my way back to the arena from the town (I was later found passed out behind the grocery store, drinking fermented healing potions). As for you, they did have to carry you out of the battlefield, but while they were doing so, you started yelling some obscenities at GM Bob who decided to jail you for 24 hours just to sober up. We were fined 100 adena each for public intoxication and were also banned from ever entering the arena again.

As it turns out, the 2 adena tickets were actually too expensive for the show :mrgreen: /bump

Hmm drink after a fight does sound good. But how about this - drink both before and after fight? You get best of both worlds, dulling the pain and making the fight fun 8) /bump
